Great shotgun, I added a Choates Machine +3 extension to get tube capacity up to 7 rounds of 2 3/4, shortened the barrel to 21 inches, put a Tactical Arms sidesaddle on the left for six extra rounds, and a CTD sock on the stock for six more rounds. Also a CDT LED light mounted close to the end of the magazine tube. I keep seven rounds of #4 buckshot in the tube, the left sidesaddle has 1oz slugs, and the right sidesaddle has 00 buckshot. I also added a set of fiber optic sights on the top that are great at picking up light in a dim situation... could not be happier with this shotgun!

Close your eyes and think about this. You just broke into a house, and you don't know if anyone is armed in the house. You make your way down the hall, and all of a sudden you hear it... That sound makes it clear to you that not only is the owner of this home armed, but they just loaded the shotgun, and really soon will probably unload it on your a**.
A little big for home defense moving around inside your home, but with a sound like that, who needs to move? Just rack that thing and watch the SH** run out the legs of their pants.

I have a remington 870 Exp. Mag. that holds 7 and has an 18 in barrel. I added a top folding stock to it. This is a great gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own three 870's, one for bird, one for deer, and one for the trunk of my cruiser. All perform flawlessly. My 870 police with a side saddle, a speedfeed stalk annd the extended tube is great. when you use polyshock ammo through the smooth bore you can punch cloverleafs in paper at 80 yards. when deer hunting I can make two hundres yard shots in a 3" circle consistantly with slugs, Love the gun!
