| Description: | I like the triple retention option bu the holster slides back and forth on your leg making it very irritating. I personally like the Blackhawk Serpa version which seems to stay put on the leg without sliding all over the leg when dynamic movement is going on. http://www.safariland.com/products.asp?id=139 |

Tripe retention is great. Hate the single mounting strap for the belt!!

I have not used the quick release holster, I have a similar safariland holster and I love it. It is easy to run with, it doesn't get in your way when you are entering or exiting a car. The only thing that I don't like is you need to use two belt keepers on either side of the strap that attaches to your belt or it will slide around.

This is a great product. Hold nicely to your leg and a quick draw. I used it with the M3 light attachment though.

I have the 6004 holster, both have the SLS. Like any holster with the SLS, you need to apply a thin coat of lubricate every once in awhile or it will start to break down. The 6005 also has to hood for added weapon retention.

Currently using this holster in the military. Works a lot better that the old green issue holster with the flap. I also like the ability of removing it from your belt when you don't need it.

I can not say anything bad about this Tac-holster. It climbs up my leg sometimes but other than that I love it. Works for me

Absolutely love this holster. Very comfy, great retention, and the fastest quick draw I've seen out of any holster.

Have you ever ran after a subject with one of these on? they'll go all over your leg, and it much easier to use a snap holster on your hip.

Nice holster, "BUT", I do not like where it puts my gun when I'm driving. It is very hard to draw my weapon from a seated position, and if you wear a seatbelt, you have to slide the holster to the top of your thigh...or you lock in the pistol and can't draw.

Great holster. Excellent retention and still allows for a quick draw. It does however move around too much on the leg, especially when running.

I've used 3 different type of tactical holsters. First one gave me instant acess but no retension. The second was like Fort Knox but you couldn't get the dang thing out easily.. The the Thris. The Model 6005 has all the others were lacking...

I love this holster, so confortable when i get in or out of my car. doesnt bunch up like a hip holster while sitting in your car. The only thing wrong is if you have to run, it might slide around on you leg.

This is the best tactical holster that I have ever used and i've used many. Spent time in Iraq doing the dirty part of my job and then some police work in the states. This holster fits both sides of the field.

I have the Safariland version of this and that's only because my regular duty holster get caught up on my tactical vest. The only way to keep it set in one place is to tighten it down to the point it becomes uncomfortable. The belt strap moves too.

I was skeptical when I was first issued my holster. After wearing this thing for the past two years I really dig it. I did take the shroud off though, it was too much of a pain to mess with.

I own three of these and they are great holsters for tactical / entry applications; However I find it difficult to low crawl while wearing one. They tend to shift forward under the front of my thigh.

Durable and reasonably light. It does seem to work it's way around to the front of your leg if you don't secure it to your belt properly. Low crawling during a surveillance type mission magnifies the shifting to the front of the leg thing. Turns the holster into a shovel. I would not recommend for a sniper.

Very comfortable. If you have to put on a bulky raid vest at any given second to conduct a search warrant you would be glad to be wearing this houlster. If you have a standard hip houlster on, while wearing a raid vest " good luck getting your gun out"

Great product. I wear this holster everyday and it fits nice arounds the leg. It does slide around abit , but two belt keepers around it seems to do the job. The quick release works well when you need to go UC. I rated it a four because of the sliding strap

Excellent product. I have used it for many years, and it is reliable. I will admit that it slides back and forth a little too much, but it doesn't go far. Tightening it up too much is just plain uncomfortable, but this thing does its job. It protects my pistol and is reliable as hell. I know I can count on it anytime I am making an entry.

very durable, takes seome getting use to but not a problem with a lot of practice. The retention is well worth if working around crowds. The plastic leg piece keeps the holster in place when running. Wore it everyday for a year and the elastic never "stretched".

Good holster; I use one for SRT. The only problem I have to switch to a different holster for when STABO'ing through the air. I don't trust the security of the weapon's retention while flying. It is great for entry and rapid deployment. Also cost's too much.

outstanding holster! i have used both the blackhawk serpa and the safariland. i used to like the serpa better, but after awile of switching back and forth i found the safariland to be more comfortable and durable. sometimes with the serpa, dirt can build up behind the button and keep you from drawing your weapon.

This thing is just a pain and a bad idea, I use it daily for my side arm beretta as a SF. The latch tends to require a lot of attention to keep it working smoothly and when it's new it tends to cock your hammer back by moving the slide which impedes with the sliding lever. Also I have tried everything from crisscrossing the leg straps, to over tightening it to the point of reduced circulation, and even removing the quick release clip, and the gun will still wobble when you run with it making it awkward and bulky feeling. It's only reliable in that you can be sure nobody will be able to take your weapon away from you easily but that is somethign that any good LEO should be able to achieve on their own. Personally I dislike it and would rather have a serpa holster but this is all we're allowed to use so I'll have to make due for now...
