Quality is great for such a low price firearm. The grip is better for my hand than either the Ruger or S&W offerings, probably because it is a soft rubber. The retaining screw for the cylinder fell out (common on all snub nose revolvers) but thanks to Taurus' lifetime warranty, a new piece was sent out to me at no charge. Great weapon, but with only 5 shot capacity, probably best left for fun at the range and learning hi-recoil hand control.

I have this pistol as an off-duty weapon. I have not had any trouble qualifying with is, once I purchased speed loaders. The pistol is easy to conceal, it fits in your pocket or is easy to hide under your shirt. I have a belt holster and one for carrying it in my pocket. I love this Magnum.

I used to carry this gun as a back up I loved it because it was easily concealable. The only negative is that it was a replacement for my first one, which literally blew up in my hand. I know that was just a fluke, but it took a year for Taurus to replace it, they kept giving me the run around.

Ah yes! The 2" barrell, Taurus .357 Magnum. Great for self protection and fits juuuuuuust right in my fanny back. LOL! Most scum know if a woman has a fanny pack AND a purse, that fanny pack is PACKIN' HEAT! I sleep with my Magnum...it's as cuddly as a stuffed Teddy Bear. LOL!---Pro_Cop

This is my Protection of Choice! Im a 20 yr. old 125 lb. female with little hands...I can hold this 357 like it was molded for me! Out of all the firearms i have handled this one is hands down my faviorate! I feel very confident in my shot and I dont feel as if I am being overpowered by the gun when i shoot it! Its easy to load and even easier to operate!

purchesed this 650 cia model in ss .357/38
first shoot was a disaster. 5 rounds no trouble,2nd set the chlinder began a lock up senerao after the first shot.
had a cop buddy check it out and shoot to be safe.
found the same issue but did successfully get 5 .357s in a row to shoot.
i called taurus they claimed ill have to shoot 250+ rounds to breake it in.
on the plus side at 20 ft the center of the first target was DESTROYED.
any one have a simmilar prob ill be intrested to find if it will infact work out.
all else seems good fit and finish cycling while dry etc.

Decent gun to play or practice with but in my opinion, I would NOT use it in a life/death situation. I've seen several Taurus revolvers lock up and had a 350 CIA model malfunction where the cylinder did not correctly align with the barrel yet the firing pin was still able to strike the primer. The end result was a BADLY deformed bullet immediately going wild, hitting dirt about 20 feet to the right of where I was aiming. If you need a small frame revolver for a backup, off duty/concealed or home defense weapon, spend a little extra and go with S&W.

HAD AMMUNITION ISSUES WHEN NEW. CYLINDER WAS LOCKING ON MY DUE TO UNDERPOWERED FACTORY LOADS. FINALLY FOUND PRACTICE .38 SPL AMMO THAT IT LIKED AND IT'S PERFORMED GREAT SINCE. DOUBLE ACTION TRIGGER PULL SMOOTH, LIGHT, CONCEALABLE. I'D PAINT ON SOME PHOTOLUMINESCENT NIGHT SIGHTS FOR NIGHT TIME QUALIFYING. I KNOW IT'S A GLOCK DOMINATED BUSINESS, BUT IN MY OPINION, FOR OFF-DUTY, I'LL TAKE 5 SHOTS OF .357 MAG EVERYTIME.

I have owned this little baby for over 10 years. It was a present from my ex after I completed the gun saftey course. I choose this gun because it fits perfectly in my hand, purse, and my fanny bag. The only problems I've had with it is taken 38 reloads and shooting around 150 rounds, it gets a little gummy and if you are going to shoot that much out of it, make sure you have your cleaning kit with you so you can continue on. I had to stop. I have also shot .357 star's out of this baby and I can honestly say WOW, you think a round hallow point does damage, try a star. This also has a hammer lock on it.

This is a reasonably priced and great feeling weapon, highly concealable, and handles well with even heavy .357 loads. You definitely need to have a good grip on it, but it is manageable. Nice gun.

Accurate, light, less expensive than its Smith & Wesson Counterpart. I have one it doesn't get as much carry time but it si a good weapon and easy to conceal
