Superior light for all situations. Tail cap control makes use in tactical situations and with gloves on much easier. Very durable and of course the warrenty! worth every penny

I used this exact model working as a mechanic. It is very durable and extremely bright. The version I have has the piggyback battery setup, which is handy if use is extended beyond about 45 minutes. The only issue I have had is the poly lens tends to spider crack with age and a lot of use mixed with the high heat the bulb is capable of producing. Upside, you may be able to use it to get a suntan.

This is the best flashlight out there, by far. Its rechargeable, bright as hell giving a cop a good intimidation/control tool with suspects, is comfortable as a weapon light in an officer's secondary hand. The only downside id the holster for it, not the light itself. It fits a bit snug and took both hands to get it out for a bit. I recommend this light to everyone!

I like this light. It is very light to carry and very bright. I have had an issue with the screws that rest on the charger tit. The screw came loose and would not charge. I did not realize what had happened and took it to an authorized streamlight repair shop. After looking at the light for 10 seconds the repair tech proclaimed nothing wrong with the light. I took the light home and, after tinkering with it for about half an hour, figured out the screw was loose and tightened it. I check the screws often and tighten if necessary.

Absolutely top notch flashlight. Even brighter than my full sized ultra-stinger. Amazing battery life and just an all around tough, extremely bright flashlight.
I try to always pack this thing with me at night, and am never disappointed by its brightness, and the fact that it is very small in relation to the amount of light it puts out.
My next goal is to try out the LED version of this flashlight, if it's better than I know what my next purchase is!

It's not as good as my three surefire lights but hey this one didn't cost me a thing (dept issue). After carring my surefire for so many years I became spoiled. However if you don't like spending money on batteries than this light is great. Has come in handy for searches when you don't need a strong blast of light and need a battery to last more than 20 min.

This light is bright and effective at night and in low light situations. I have the poly version. I have dropped it on concrete, hit the car with it, etc.....it still turns on every time. My only hang up is the fact that it looses a charge too quickly. I have a charger mounted in the car, which eliminates any issues.

I have found this to be the most reliable and comfortable flashlight I have used in over 39 years as an LEO. The battery pack lasts longer than any other rechargable flashlight I have owned. The additional car charger is a godsend when working after a severe storm or hurricane and the power is out. Others on my department had to leave their flashlights at the station (which has emergency power) in order to charge them. When my batteries were low - I just plugged in the car lighter charger and was good to go. The size belies the brightness of the light. In adddition, the light's focus can be easily varied between broad area ligh and tight spotlight. All-in-all a worthwhile investment!

I've used mine for about 3 years so far and the only flaw is placing the light into the charging clip it might be just mine but i usually have to wiggle the light around to get the charging dimples to connect to the base. Other then that it can fit in a pocket well and is bright. The thumb button works well even with gloves on . a good between light bigger then a mini-mag and smaller then a regular mag

I've had mine for about 5 years. I need new batteries( they aren't holding a charge very long), but the light itself is worth every penny. I used for nearly 2 years as a primary light source , which was always on my belt. I have dropped it, it's been runover, submerged, and lost in the snow for 2 days. It hasn't failed to light yet. The tail cap switch is great, especially on the range during night fire.

Is there any other flashlight than a Streamlight Stinger?? Great product, light, durable, lasts forever. I've had mine for 7 years, the rubber has peeled off the button, the paint has slowly been scraped away, the lense is dull and scratched, BUT its still as reliable and useful today as the day I took it out of the box. I have been using this light for about 5 years. It has been dropped and submerged in various liquids during the course of my duties. The light has been very dependable and the only reason I couldn't give it a higher score, is because I had to replace the internal switch, due to a manufacturing defect that, cuts down the voltage getting to the bulb. Streamlite sent me the entire re-build kit for the light for free and even gave me a personal telephone number to call if I had problems installing the switch. GREAT JOB STREAMLITE!

This is a great light...very powerful and the rubberized grip helps prevent slippage in the rain, the tailcap switch is very handy. There are a few points I will say I don't care for. The cost of a replacement bulb & battery pack is expensive. I would suggest going with the new LED model so you don't have to worry about bulb replacment costs. I will caution you as well, if this light is on a pass-through holster on your duty belt and something turns the light on when you are sitting down and you can't see the beam is on...this light will heat up and burn you, also do not leave the light on for any length of time more than a few seconds and set it down on it's lense....it will burn the surface it's on and destroy the bulb/lense assembly. Be forwarded...the lense gets hot and will burn you if the light has been on a while. Other than that it's a great light for law enforcement.

I have one of these that comes in very handy on traffic stops and for clearing houses. I have had a few of the smaller lights and this is the best one.

I have had mine since 2003 and it is still a great light. Still haven't broke it even with all the torture I have put it through.

I think I'm on year 12 with this little gem. Always thought MagLite was the pinnacle until I got this one - compact, rugged, bright, and the tail switch is great. Lots of dings and scrapes from the years, but only one bulb replacement. I know the new LED version is tempting, but this old friend will stay on my belt as long as it works. You simply can't go wrong with this light.

I've had a Stinger since 2001. It was great for the first few years. Now it drains a fully charged battery in five hours. I now have to replace the battery during my shift. It's not fun searching a abandoned house for and offender and the light slowly goes dim.

What a Light! I carried this for 9 years, broke windows, dropped it in pursuits (I carried a backup) and 5 years after I retired, and with constant use it still charges and lights! I have only changed the bulb once and that was with the extra that came with it. After 15 years the rubber switch protection finally failed and started to come off. ( have seen other officers switch fail earlier but it may be that they don't trim their nails often ;)

One of the coolest flashlights that I have ever worked with. It's light weight, comfortable feel, end cap power switch and it's rechargeable. I LOVE IT!! Oh yeah did I mention that it is SUPER bright?!?!

Just got these issued to us. The battery life gets an A. The only fault I have so far is that if you twist the end cap so it stays on the lens part gets exceptionally hot. Placing it back into the nylon that our department bought to go with these is a bit scarry. I recomend letting it cool before putting it back into a pouch.

I love the tail cap feature I had originally bought the base model stinger and would have trouble locating the switch when under stress. The battery life is poor in my opinion though I look forward to replacing mine with the LED version. Other than the lense having cracked over time mine is still running 9 years later.
