I 've had a 22 model for the last 7 years. No problems with it, but I do think Depts should consider 21 model (.45) instead. I personally think it's a better shooter and more powerfull.

I used to carry a 9mm Glock and switched to this - more punch than the 9 - great accuracy and easy to disassemble and clean. I have added the trijicon night sights and LaserMax "intimidator". It is still lightweight and easy to use been a Glock fan for over 10 years.

I've owned or been issued this handgun for 15 years. I have never personally had a model 22 stove pipe or fail to feed (accept set up by me at the range). 15 rounds of .40 S&W is very comforting while on duty. My only addition to my duty gun is night sights.

Feel very comfortable with this firearm. Disassemble quickly for easy/fast cleaning. The only problem I had to adjust to was, in that I am a female my hands are small and had problems with my grip when first started using but through training and practive have overcame that problem.

Seems the Glock 22 is reviewed twice here. Not sure why, but I'll give it 5 stars in this review as well. We carry these as duty weapons and I've never had a problem with it. Extremely accurate, easy to strip and clean.

Have this gun for personal protection, love it. I have trained most of my career in Marines with the M-9 Baretta , love the Glock better. For concealed purposes it may be a little big for the smaller individuals.

Works every time all the time. The finest in Combat Tupperware, accpet no substitutes. Constistent trigger from the first to last and not a long trigger reach. I have a Glock for ovre ten year and near failed me, except don't load the model 22 mags with 15 rds, causes malfunctions. The latest and greates mags could be better but I am a creature of habit and load 14.

I have had my Glock 22 for 6 years now, and I swear by it. Recently, during fire, the back frame rails both broke of sending the unit into fully auto fire fo four rounds. Glock has announced an "upgrade" for this exact thing. You can find out more by calling the Glock Warranty Department @ (866)225-4098. Even with this happening to me with the 22, I still swear by it.

Excellent handgun. Easy to maintain and clean. I have been carrying the 22 now for nearly 5 years and have had no problems. I recently started to carry the 22C. No difference in the gun itself never found recoil a problem. The only drawback of the 22C is night fire. The flame shoots out and there went your nightvision.
Got to love the GLOCK though. Tommy Lee Jones said it best "get rid of the nickel plated sissy pistol, get yourself a GLOCK."- Flag as inappropriate

I have to admit I was not a big fan of Glock until my Agency swithched to this from the S&W .40 cal. I always found Glock's grips to be "too boxy" and not sit right in my hand. This model has changed my mind!!! It weighs about 7-8 pounds less, has about 6 pounds less in trigger pull and fits very comfortably in my hand. I believe Glock has made a convert out of me with this model.

It's a great gun over all. It fits well, shoot great, comes apart easy for cleaning and gets the job done. I've had my Glock 22 for over a year now and haven't had any problems with it. Did I forget to mention all the accessories you can get for it, like the laser max, different grips, night sights and much more.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best firearms made for Police Officers to be used as a Duty Weapon. It is accurate, low maintenace and very durable. Police Officers are subjected to different types of weather and this is one of the weapons designed to endure it with you.

I have carried the Glock 22 for approximately 9 years. I have not had any problems out it during that time. One of the best things that Glock did was to put finger grooves in the handle. This makes for a better feel without the excess bulk from the slide on grips.

After carrying a S & W Sigma (Awful) and a S & W 4046, this gun is a dream. My weapons qualification scores increased greatly. The 4046 was so heavy you felt its weight every step you took. But the Glock 22, you don't even know its there. Our versions have Trijicon night sites which make low-light shooting a breeze. As far as reliability, this gun functions better and is more dependable than anything else I've ever carried. Good Gun.

I have been carrying the Glock 22 as a service weapon since the early 1990's and wouldn't carry anything else. As a firearms instructor, I highly recommend this handgun for those officers that have trouble with qualification scores. It is very easy to shoot and even easier to maintain and clean. It is an excellent firearm for recruits that are just learning how to shoot for the first time. The weight is evenly distributed throughout the gun, not top heavy like some guns and has low recoil. I am a Glock armorer and would definitely recommend any of the 40 cal. series of Glock pistols

I started carrying a Glock 22 .40cal in 2002. I used it through weapons training and LOVED IT!! I never had the first problem out of it and was devastated when I lost it in Hurricane Katrina. At present, I own a S&W M&P .40cal but I will be purchasing another Glock as soon as it is possible.

Phenomenal weapon once you remove the field goal posts and install night sights. This is our current department sidearm. Capacity is excellent as well as functional durability. No jams! The trigger pull can be a little long, but you can't have it all. Our holster is the level II Blackhawk SERPA.

I've carreid the Glock 22 for the last 5years or so, here at the airport. Also carried a Glock at the Sheriff's Dept before I retired and they are just steady eddie as far as pistols go! The 22 is the longer barreled .40 version, big and sturdy... a good duty weapon, dependable and solid. I highly recommend it as a duty weapon and can only HOPE that the department will let me buy it from them when I retire from here! Happy shooting!
