I'm thinking about getting one of these. Has anyone used this laser before? What do you think?

Theres ups and downs to this laser. The upside is, the blinking dot instead of constant catches the human eye much quicker so the suspect knows there is definatly a weapon pointed at their chest. the downside is the activatin switch is where the take down lever or button is. So sometimes the laser comes on when u dont want it to. Its real embarrassing when someone comes up to you and says " um, excuss me sir, but your laser dot is on" you look down to see a blinking dot on the ground next to your leg.

but overall its pretty good, but it could cost alot less.

Very handy, but easy to kill batteries on my 1911. Holster engages laser.

This is a good product-we could not have one per policy but I had one anyway. Dumb ass Lt's could never figure it out that I had one!

I agree catm, this would be an excellent product, if only the switch were somewhere else. I prefer the pointer to be closer to the barrel, instead of off the the side.

Simple to install, simple to use. I've had mine since 2001 and it was worth every penny. The laser works not only to assist aiming but to deter the suspect.

A bit pricey but reliable, durable, and scares the "h@&&" out of the bad guy when you "red dot" the chest...or head!!!

Great product, a bit overpriced though... And, the larger than normal slide release on the glock makes it hard to fit certain holsters. Otherwise, excellent.

Too easy and useful to not have it, the only reason I don't is that it's not authorized.

This is a nice addition to my Glock 22. It is very intimidating to perps! I wish the price would go down a little so I could buy one for all of my pistols.

I use the Lasermax in my Sig. The up side is that it is easy to acquire targer and accurate. The down side is the batteries die too fast (and they are expensive) and after shooting a mag on the range the soot covers the laser. After one mag you only see a small dot and after two mags there is no laser. I wish I had gone with the Crimson Trace.

Had one in my Glock 17 and 26, worked very well. We used a Level III Holster for my 19, this kept activating the slide switch and I would walk around with a red dot following me. When I retired I sold the 26, always liked the 19 better, I just replaced the internal Laser Sight with the external Laser Max Sabre Sight, which I have reviewed already, it sells for $219, very limited number of duty holsters that it will fit, a problem I do not have. I carry my 19 in a Level II off duty holster.

I have one in my Glock 22. I find it easy to use and very accurate. I agree with others that it is overpriced, but I really like it. I've never had to deal with it as a deterrent, but I can sure see how it would be handy there. I've never had a problem with the switch, as some have mentioned. I've had mine for over 5 years, and am still on the original batteries. I don't light it up every time I touch the gun,. but I do use it for target shooting to stay used to the dot. I'm very happy with mine, and would recommend it unconditionally if it were a little less expensive.

I absolutely love this laser sight. This sight is the best thing since sliced bread.

Laser sights are great, but this one is the BEST!. when is comes to laser sights and stress shooting the officer will keep his/her eyes on the laser sight....
That is a major Bad thing since the you want to keep your eyes on your bad guy or target. Well ALL of your external mounted laser sights dont know that it needs to turn off.

With this laser sight IT KNOWS WHEN TO TURN OFF AND WHEN TO TURN BACK ON. Which is the best thing ever.... It knows cause when the slide goes back for recoil the battery loses connection but when the slide comes forward it is back on.

You stay on target and have accurate shooting. I highly recommend this product to every agency out there. This is good stuff.

Great way to hide the laser in the gun. Watch some models of guiderod lasers. Some will twist on you, making it hard to sight them in. You will still be close, but not true on. We have found that the 1911 Lasermax locks really nice and doesn't spin. Easier to dial in for accurate shots.

Haven't bought this yet. Looking at it for 2010. I have read the reviews here and like what I see. I see that some people recomend the crimson trace over lasermax, but I don't think that will work for me. My service weapon is a Glock 22 with a M3 tac light. I think the tac light will interfere with the laser. Anyone experience this? I am pretty certain I will get the lasermax laser, but open to opinions.
