Perfect for "the Team" to roll up in. The 1500 is a good war-wagon, but the 2500 is the ultimate. The Suburban is intimidating and has as tradition of being a solid investment.

Good vehicle for moving equipment and responding if needed. We have five of these our fleet and they have come in handy.

I drove one up to about a month ago and miss it ....bad. It had lots of room for gear and bodies. Handled well enough to complete our whole EVOC course. The state contract price for the 2008 model was $28,000. It was not much worse on gas than the Crown Vic depending on your driving habits.

I am a chevy guy, I drive a custom chevy silverado crew cab, for me pov, v-8 is the 5.3L and I added a atp turbo charger to it. I have a photo of it on my profile page to view, it is very custom. The Sub 1500 has tons of room for 'gear' and can withstand huge demands in every category.

Although I am not a chevy fan, the suburban is great for tactical use and gear-it is not practical gas wise-but like I told the boss-you can't put a price on officer safety.

I have one for personal use, wouldn't trade it for anything else. It has plenty of room for dive gear or camping equipment. I don't like small vehicles
