I have the field and game version of the Mossberg 500. I love the versatility of the multiple barrels that can be easily changed.

This is the AK-47 of shotguns. They are inexpensive, rugged and incredibly reliable. They come in a variety of configurations to suit any situation or need that could arise. I also like the fact that the controls are ambidextrious and the operator does not have to take their hand out of a proper firing position to manipulate them. I realize I am bordering on cop blasphemy, but I prefer the Mossberg 500 to the Remington 870 and I was glad when my department switched to them.
