This shotgun offers the best of both worlds. In keeping with the folding stock theroy of police shotguns of the past, this weapon offers ease of deployment in a patrol vehilce setting. The tactical stock operates the same as the ones on the AR15/ M16-A1 patrol rifle, which give officers a familiar platform in deployment of long guns. The pistol grip only shotguns we have tried failed to perform to our standards on the tactical shotgun course. I highly reccomend this shotgun to anyone.

Excellent weapon! Never had a problem with it. Only complaint is the Mossberg safety being on top of the receiver, kinda a pain to take off with the pistol grip, but thats just something to get used to.

Even thought the name is spelled wrong, you absolutely can't go wrong with a Mossberg 500 shot gun. I purchased a used one and tricked it out witout spending a fortune. I am so pleased with the final product and the reliability is superb.

I'm not a fan of Mossbergs in large, but I really don't have experience with them and therefore little room to talk. But I'd love to get a Mossberg 500 Cruiser with the pistol grip & the BA heatshield. It would be my weapon of choice if & when I go on the hippie sting operations my brother said I'd be perfect for, cause he says I resemble a hippie. "FREEZE HIPPIE!" As I rack a round.

I have this shotgun for recreatinol use like blowing the hell out of gophers, I have an extra barrell for it though and its got a compensater with 11 teeth on the end. It looks mean and its bark matches its bite, This is a great gun

I bought mine because I had difficulty with the length between the butt stock and the trigger on some of the other shotguns I was looking at. The collapsable stock on this solved the problem for me. I enjoy shooting with it!

I got this as a mother's day present this year and fell in LOVE!!! I am a "vertically challenged" female police officer and have been carrying a Winchester Defender on patrol for the past 5 years. I love my Mossy and will carry it for the next 20 years!! This shotgun is a one size fits all and is a smooth shot!!

For close quarters battle really any shot gun. but due to the size and not getting to small like a breaching gun, I would rather have this than any other weapon. min. of 8 .32 cal. pellets instead of one. the bad boy

My partner of choice when on a swat call out. I am a breacher on our team which means I do alot of forced entry. It goes well with my battering ram and entry tools. It is accurate (as much as a shotgun can be) and intimidates the hell out of people. Great weapon!

An excellent shotgun that wont kill the wallet. Allways nice to have extra rounds to get to in a fire fight. Adjustable stock is excellent for getting in and out og the car. Never leave home without it.

First I want to say that this is a great shotgun! I've never had a malfunction I love the location of the safety toggle and the ease of reloading....BUT with the pistol grip stock that is on this weapon it sits approximately 1/2" higher than your ordinary stock. This in turn causes a nasty swelled cheek if firing more than just a few rounds. In fact if you do fire just a few rounds you can almost be guaranteed a nice rosy spot at least. Please do not think that I am some amature that just does not know how to properly place my shot gun. I have had MULTIPLE firearms instructors fire this weapon. Each one of them fired approximately three rounds before putting it down and saying that they would never touch my shotgun again. So be warry it is a very sexy shotgun especially if you get the carbon fiber stock and pump action as I did but be ready for a fight with it every time you pull the trigger!!!!

No folding stock. I have the pistol grip, short and long barrels, differant chokes and a standard synthetic stock. I think it's a 500a. Shoots the long magnums and bought it around the time the longer shells came out about 20 years ago. I keep it short and concealed in my motorhome on trips. I make it long for shooting clays. Shoots good. I don't baby it and it has been 100% reliable. Feels and acts the same as the remington in our squad cars but two more rounds.

It just fits me well, its important to find a firearm that is comfortable to you. If your firearm is uncomfortable you'll be fighting it and your fundamentals of shootingg will be off. You will struggle with trigger squeeze, sight alignment, arc of movement, everything

This is a great shotgun. I have used a Mossberg 500 most of my life. In this configuration, it is very effective. I just wish I would've paid the $350 it says it costs. I paid $400 but, it's still worth it.

I have the Mossberg 500 persuader security model. it came with 20 inch barrel and extended mag holding 7 + 1. also stock was the pistol grip and heat shield. I personally have no problem firing this shotty with the pistol grip but my girl has a much smaller frame, so I added the ATI fold over stock. she loves it and it has a cool factor. With a tube ring support for flashlight and sling I have a no nonsense,in your face scatter gun for around 400 bills. With very easy breakdown (only 11 parts including trigger assembly) I can't say enough good things about this shotgun!
