This is the ideal weapon, in a 40 caliber. if the clip falls out of the magazine holder, according to smith & wesson the handgun will not fire. (some of the handguns are defective in this way as they still fire) You can buy an optional small minimag flashlight or the $40.00 laser sight that attaches under the pistol for better accuracy in firing.
Personally, I like the safety features of the pistol, that are built in, you can change the safety from right to left or left to right. the magazine catch is on both sides for either handed shooter.
This is the M&P model for Military and Police. Smith & wesson interviewed police and military police to get a better understanding of what they wanted at an inexpensive cost, and this is what happens when you listen to your customers.
