In short, this is a really high quality product. No matter what one thinks of their way of doing business (I personally really don't like that dealer banishing politics), Microtech makes high quality knives. Now whether or not someone wants to support the

As Mr Ban was speaking during the live televised event, a mortar or rocket landed about 100 metres (330ft) from the building, causing him to duck.
Mr Ban appeared frightened but neither he nor Mr Maliki was hurt.

I carry a Microtech on duty. Mine 'presents' out the front. Excellent workmanship, total reliability but a little pricey. I was fortunate to have picked one up at dealer cost from a Microtech dealer.

One can never have too many knives. Always nice to have a couple around...one for all purpose use that you don't mind beating up a bit, and others that cost a bit more but have a specific use in mind. Either way - I always carry a few in a bag in the trunk so you have something NOW when you need it rather that scratching your head and saying "I wish....."

I had a chance to check this knife out, wow! what a great little knife, but for a duty knife no way. just think about running after a some AH and having it fly out of you pocket. Or using it and then getting P.I. by I.A. no thanks. A good duty knife should cost $50 to $100 and also check with your dept's rules and regs before buying a knife. CPC653k

I have an older model a bought new in '98. It has been the single best production folder I have ever owned. It is also the most expensive. I'm a firm believer in buying the best quality product you can afford. This one took a little saving but it has proven its worth. And after breaking a couple Benchmades and a Spyderco over the same time interval, I'd recommend one of these knives to every LEO I know. They are excellent. And their toughness and durability make them practical for our use, even if they do cost more. I'd also recommend looking at a Microtech Amphibian if you can find them anywhere; they have better finger protection if it closes accidentally.

I carry the microtech Troodon auto on my belt. And it was well worth the $400.00 I payed for it.
Double edge and as sharp as a razor I believe it's the fastest auto out there.- Flag as inappropriate
