Description:

These knives share a unique design offering a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists. The dual grind Tanto blades were specified because they offer maximum strength. The open build allows two Carson Flippers to be incorporated, resulting in a true hilt— very rare in folding knives. Two sizes are available, in your choice of aluminum InterFrame build or G10 InterFrame build. Blade, frame and hardware are non-reflective tactical black. Blades receive black titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Kit’s trademark dual checkered thumb studs are standard. On all models, one-hand opening and closing is quick and smooth. All SF models feature CRKT's exclusive patented* AutoLAWKS™ automatic safety, which turns the folders into virtual fixed blades automatically. CRKT's aluminum frame SFs feature contoured scales of textured, hard anodized 6061 T6 aluminum, with a perimeter radius for a comfortable grip with or without gloves, stainless steel liners with friction grooves, and premium AUS 8 stainless steel blades. Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges are standard CRKT's new G10 models feature scales of black G10, stainless steel liners with friction grooves, and premium 8Cr14 stainless steel blades with our exclusive Combination Veff™ Serrations. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive gripping texture, light weight, and superior insulating properties. M16®-14SFG Big Dog G10. Again, this new model is similar to the M16-14SF with slightly more heft. All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four-position carry on belts or webbing. It's got the name that you can trust (CRKT) and the design that works evertime! It's a weighty knife, but I like that in s blade...that way I always know it's there. I especially like the "double tang" and the AutoLAWKS™ automatic safety feature! Once she's open...she's locked and ready to roll!!!

CRKT does makes great knife. However, stay away from their AUS4 stainless steels blades. They are really diffucult to sharpen unless you have a commercial grade sharpener. If your going to sharpen, pay attention to the two different bevel angles on their edges.

For the money thay are a good product.

This is one heck of a knife! After getting it, i now know why CRKT calls it the "Big Dog" of the series. It can be drawn fast, and the AutoLawks feature is just amazing, making it a virtual fixed blade. Not to mention that the Veff serrations can cut pretty much anything! The G10 handles are a great feature, because they cut down on the weight and will still grip your hand just as good as aluminum does, and dont get affected by the heat or cold. It is, however a little heavy, but that can be worked around. I would highly reccomend this knife to anyone that works on active duty, ot just wants an awesome knife!
