This vehicle is Ford Tough. Nothing like a V8 to get you were you need to go, when you need to be there. Roomy, comfortable, dependable and looks good. Gas milage, well it sucks it down, but you can't have everything.

I love the Crown Vic but I thought they were going to stop producing this model and that was why a lot of agencies were going to the Charger.

Still not as great as the mid 90's Caprice, however, I would rather drive a 1999 Interceptor over a 2008 Impala anyday.

My '95 was quick, 97 was quicker, 99-05 quick enough, 2007 is a dog. I'm ready for a charger.

Sure, Chargers are faster and cheaper, but the Crown Vic is bigger, more comfortable, rides smoother, handles better, is plenty fast enough, doesn't cost that much more, and in my opinion looks better. The civilian version was discontinued, but I've heard the PI will be around for several more years. The Caprices were good, the Impalas are a joke, the Chargers are
ok, but the Crown Vic has lasted and become the best-selling legend it is by being the best.

The CVPI is a tried and true machine and it has gotten better every year especially with the addition of the 17 inch rims and tires along with a tachometer to give the dash a much more sportier appearance ( in my opinion). The only thing I wish they would do is bump the horsepower up by another 50 to about 300. Yeah, I know the fuel mileage isn't the best but with the traction control 300 horsepower should launch just fine when doing speed enforcement. For 2009, I read it will get power adjustable pedals like the civilian version carried and side impact airbags built into the doors and not interfer with the prisoner cage like they expected in the past.

My '08 is great but can someone please tell me why they (Ford) puts such crappy rims on these vehicles? They bend/warp way too easy.

It gets me to the f'n call and thats all that matters. The MV is fine, the ride is great, but it seems thing break a little too easy on the inside. Plus the door makes a loud noise when I open it, even after being srayed with lube.
