Good radio, outdated technology. My department is still using these, and I know I can rely on it to transmit when I need it to. Except when our towers go down...

I can't say I've ever had the rubber melt on me, even working in 90+ degree Texas coast heat, but I have broken the LCD screen (front mounted, not the top mounted model) while jumping fences. Not sure how, but it happened.

My dept also uses these but they look alot different. the radio is very dependable although it lacks some of the features newer radios have.

Outdated. Have to send off to Motorola for repair, they've had one of ours fo 6yrs, and we have another one that will go through a battery in 3hrs.

I've carried mine for a year now and have no complaints. Every time I hit the transmit button, the radio does it's job. Old faithful.

Best damn radio since the MT500! Brings back memories of the HT220 and MT500, just does its job and does it well. makes a pretty good brick every now and then.
