This gun is very easy to handle and goes from safe to semi to full auto very effortlessly. The folding stock makes it easier to carry.

I carry an HK USP40 so I'm a little biased but the UMP is an excellent weapon system. The weight distribution, ease of use, and sheer power make it a great addition to any department whether it be on patrol or on a SWAT team. It takes seconds to field strip, is easy to clean and is very reliable. I would definately recommend to any department searching for a replacement or new sub gun.

i was lucky enough to have my UMP issued to me four years ago and was one of three UMP operator. now everyone on the entry team carries it (except for the breecher). what a great weapon! it fires every time and never had a problem with it. for close quarters combat it's the best sub gun in the world.

I shot about 500 rounds with this weapon, I like the feel of it and think it would be a great entry weapon for small and close quarters. The size allows for quick on target action.

This little flamethrower is everything it's cracked up to be. It spits out round after round without choking or hanging up. It's easy to get off three-round bursts and target reacquisition is a snap. I would recommend it as a primary weapon for any tactical unit.

We currently have a couple in our inventory. I am not real pleased with the plastic feel of the weapon or the magazines and have had to replace several broken magazines due to training. I do like the beveled magazine well on this weapon versus the MP5 though. The slow rate of fire makes the weapon easy to control on full-auto.

I have carried this subgun for over 3 years. It has performed flawlessly. I have put countless rounds through it without so much as one malfunction. In my opinion this is as good of an entry subgun as there is. By all means get the .45.

I use the UMP 45 as my sub gun on the entry team with our departments SWAT unit. I have a red dot aim point on mine and it is right on the money. Even without the aim point this weapon is extremely accurate and dependable. I prefer it over the MP5. Fantastic SMG.

We have three of the .45 UMPs on our team. They compliment our USP .45s well. They are rugged, reliable and oh so accurate. With the EOtech sights on them it is almost like cheating.

UMP .45 has what is know as Chutzpah! Was instructed how to fire the weapon, and put about 500 rounds through it. Easily handled when properly taught reaction response. No jams or other issues. Magazine feed and the magazines easy to change out, Over all this will be the future workhorse for seriously minded officers. Where can I buy one for $850.00?? Ray O'Herrons??

HK is known for making quality weapons. This particular sub gun is our issue department rifle. I believe it cycles 700 RPM. Capacity consists of 30 round round mags. The iron sights are optional ghost ring or field goal posts. The rails can be used to mount otics, vertical grip, or lights/lasers. The selector switch is very easy to manipulate. Although the weapon bares resemblance to the MP5 which is constructed of steel, this one is mainly polymer making it much lighter. Our department has the .40 to compliment our pistol caliber. Accuracy is surprising considering it is a "burp gun". The stock can fold if an executive protection detail is in order. An all around nice weapon to have.

Great weapon for house and close corders and also great for areas that don't have a lot of space to move. just a great all around weapon for the price and the caliber .45 auto got the stopping power you would want in any close encounters...

Outstanding weapon. I have been usinging it for five years now and have had no problems. Works well with speer 200 grain +P roundws resulting in 18mm depression on clay under a level III tactical vest. Currently use with TLR-1 tactical light and eotech sighting system. Excellent entry weapon.
