Not much take down force, but is a good accurate gun that is reliable.

This was my first duty gun when I worked County. Worked well with +P rounds. Would hit the 10 ring at 25 yrds easy, during Quals.

I owned one of these baby's after active service, nice revolver, handled .38 spl +P+ ammo without a glitch.

1st gun I owned when I started in law enforcement in 1975, still a great gun. Was a lot cheaper then though.

My Duty gun for 12 years. RELIABLE! The trigger is smooth, after dry firing with snap caps. Should've kept it for a home gun!

I would give this 10 stars. The model 10 was my first issue weapon when I put on my first blue uniform in Texas in 1962. Mine has a pencil barrel and after all these years of wishing I had kept it I found a dealer who was selling newly released model 10's from the Dallas PD. I bought one for $199.00 and have loved having one again. The trigger is VERY smooth, the action is tight and the bluing wasn't warn too badly. I shoot it often and kill a lot of targets. The absolute BEST revolver ever made.
