This is an all around good car, but lacks the space of the traditional police vehicles like the Crown Vic. Good fuel economy compared to traditional police vehicles. Larger people might have comfort issues with this vehicle. This is not a good vehicle for prisoner transport.

I had a brand new 2007. I drove it for 16k miles and turned it in for a 2005 CV. The Charger handles very well but IMO the praise stops there. The shifter is terrible as well as the delay between gears, visibility is dangerous.

We have Hemi's and V-6's. They both are falling apart. The front end, brakes and tire wear are terrible. Wish I had the HEMI in a CV, otherwise...try to keep the CV's alive.

My department purchased two Chargers to test as fleet vehicles. They lasted less than six months and had to have several complete brake overhauls during that time frame. Unfortunate because they are fun to drive otherwise!!
