I am a gear nut and this is my primary flashlight. It outshines a 3 cell maglight LED hands down.

Hands down the brightest, holds brightness for a lengthy distance, strobes is a nice feature really distracts occupants of vehicles.. the strobe feature worked awesome in allowing a helicopter to locate my position out of all persons on the ground at night on a search and rescue call. I highly recommend this light of the other LEDs lights that I have used.

I purchased this light because the SL 20XP LED that the dept. issued won't take a charge any more. This light is smaller than the 20XP and brighter. The strobe and the dual switch are an add plus. I will be advising everyone in my dept. to make this very wise investment.

Great light, bright, affordable, but the side switch alreayd popped off of mine after about 8 months. No big deal cause they have a lifetime warranty, but now I have to send it back and be without a light for awhile. Other than that no problems with the light, it performs as advertised.

Very bright, lightwieght and the double switch is a nice option. Add the orange cone accessory and the strobe and it is a great tool for directing traffic, overall very satisfied

Our wonderful department decided to purchuse these lights for chirstmas for every officer. I will give everyone that it is a bright flashlight and the strobe feature is a great idea; however, out of the 30 purchased 5 of them had to go back within the first month. One being mine because the front switch went bad and reading on other sites it is a all to common occurance. I do not like the fact that when the light is going dead it will continuely act up to were it won't turn on, turn off, or will go trough the dimming cycle. I understand that it is going dead and needs to be charged, however it should work properly until completely dead. I would not recommend this light.

This light leaves all other light in the dark it is hands down the best light I have ever bought. I have a stinger, a SL20X LED, a strion, and Stinger Hp and this is hands down the brightest of them.

Just started carrying this model, had the smaller stinger before. I like the brightness of the LED and the fact of having two switches. I really enjoy the strobe effect, it works well on most folks. A must have to add to the toolbox ... the only thing I would really like better is for it to be a bit smaller.

Great so far. I used it right after buying it for a training on active shooter. I handed it off to another officer had him use the pulse mode toward the perp from about 40 yards away. The area we were training in had empty book shelves. With the bad guy being hit with the light I was able to approach on one side two other officers approached from the other all undetected and shot the bad guy.......unfortunatley just after he shot his hostage. During the critique the assailent said he was completely blinded by the light and could see nothing. My concern will be how well the batteries and the charging system hold up. With the led technology I think it will be fine. I also have a rechargeable mag. As much as I like mag lights that one was too problamatic. It was always burning out the expensive bulbs and about 20 minute run time. So I'll see. Will update

I recently replaced my strion with this Stinger DS LED and am very pleased. It's obviously quite a bit larger than the strion, but the extra size is more than made up for with the LED and strobe feature.

Great light!!! My first department issued me the light and I loved it. When I left for another department I bought my own to carry, 3 different light modes plus a strobe and Streamlight has great customer service. The only down side I found was there’s not a lot of accessories aka (carrying cases) out there for officers that ware leather gear. .

An amazing light. durable, long lasting, and many uses. I used mine pretty moderately over the last year on overnight shift and not once has it failed to work for me, except when I ran the battery dead. my fault though. If I had the choice to buy another flashlight again, it would still be the Stinger DS.
