A little dated and large but a fun little hand cannon I've had for years. A bit heavy with the long barrel. Nice to be able to choose .38 sp or .357 mag. Added a Hogue grip, helped a lot with stability and extended the somewhat short grip.

Started with this one and the Mod. 19 in .38cal. Like the ability to interchange ammo, like light .38 for target practice and the .357 for the serious work.

Carried one of these when I first got into law enforcement late 70's - early 80's - was a great firearm with no problems.

Have one of the earliest when it was just the Highway Patrolman, before there was a model designations. Always reliable and a great piece.
