Plane Jane no fancy extras, just no non-sense combat ready and reliable. Mine was very accurate out of the box, has taken every round I've put through it form low velocity target loads to hot duty rounds. I prefer to used Winchester Ranger SXT.

I carried a Glock 31 for several years, but the Colt wins hands down. You can not compare the two weapons but I am much more accurate and confident with the Colt. Excellent weapon and I suggest that everyone should look into carrying at least a 1911 model pistol.

I have enjoyed this firearm from the get go. Priced right, performs well, had some modifications done to the throat so it will eat just about anything without any jams. I have found it to be dependable and finely balanced. I would recommend this firearm to anyone who places their life on the line and needs to have their equipment to function when needed. Hands down the Colt is the way to go.

Just bought a used one for a gift for my brother. He's confined to a wheel chair and need something with a little more stopping power besides his 228 in 9mm. First group was the size of a quarter at 35 feet using reloads. He doesn't leave home without it!

I have shot this weapon and I am in love with the 1911 series and the 1991 is just as good.

Great pistol! Especially for the price! I've shot about 5000 rounds through mine. Tried and true! I have a small hand and this gun is very comfortable to hold and shoot.
