Though no longer in production this rifle is still a good choice for those of us in rural areas, especially when you have to provide your own firepower and can't afford the more modern patrol rifles.

Have carried it and used it on horseback. Even have a 12 pointer on the living room wall I got with this old girl. Great gun.

I own two chambered in .32 Special & 30-30 caliber. Great hunting rifle! I have shot many deer with them in Michigan.

decent rifle if it's all you have. This caliber probably has killed more deer than any other because it was so cheap. There are so many more calibers with better ballistics out there now.

There is no better rifle for a rural area. I used one for alot of years for hunting coyotes and at 150 yards it would hit the same spot every time. They are a very accurate rifle.

This was my first deer rifle I've been shooting it for four years, and the guy who gave it to me used it for twenty years before I got it. I've never had to even sight it in just five shots to make sure I was shooting straight.

I love it because it doesn't feak out people the way any Black Rifle does. It is dependable and with an optical site and the newest Lever ammo you got a 250 yard rifle.

A great gun, decent with Iron Sights, Excellent with a scope.
People question an AR style gun no matter where they see it, having a 94 on the other hand people have a tendency of just shrugging it off and going about there business, no major complaints against this trusty stand in.

Love my 30-30 caliber, wish I could carry on duty. If I can drop a deer doing 35mph at 75yds, I think it would work on the street. :)

Ive got a 1954 Winchester 94 30-30. I have killed several deer and two elk with this rifle. Its the only gun I use to hunt in the brush or timber with. It shoots excellent and I can carry it all day. I would carry it on duty without hesitation. Definite one-shot fight stopper.
