This rifle is fantastic. I would personaly say that it is one of the best of the shelf rifles on the market. It has a tight grouping and is easily costumizable.

Love mine. Our department has switched over to these from mini 14 and I am glad. Some of the early ones produced had soem issues but Smith was quick to fix them. The state patrol alos uses this rifle and also had issues with the first ones they recived but again Smith took care of them and as far as I know there have not been any other issues

I have one of these put nearly 5,000 rounds through it already. I gave it four stars because I was having feed issues the following round would get caught on the feed teeth but I had a gunsmith smooth it out and it works like a dream, just as accurate if not more than the Colt M4A3 I was issued in the Army which had a 1/7 twist this has a 1/9 so use good ammo in this rifle, I recommend Hornady 55-65 Grain TAP ammo or match ammo seems to work the best in this rifle for tighter groups, but any ammo can go through this rifle no problem.

This is our department patrol rifle. Very nice to shoot, especially with the EOTech sight.

Great rifle, especially the Optics Ready version. I have one with a Trijicon TA-33 on it...it's almost like taking candy from a baby at the range....

I just bought/ordered this, and haven't received it yet, but I'm impatiently waiting. With my past experience with AR-15 type weapons, I'm sure its a great shooter, and once I get mine and actually put rounds through it, I'll write a better review. Four stars is probably a given, and I'm sure five is more accurate. Smith & Wesson quality puts it over the top, and you can't beat S&W for their warranty!

This was my first AR15 and I could not be more impressed. The flip up iron sights were surprisingly easy to zero and it has out preformed similiar weapon equipped with scopes on many occasions. After 1000+ rounds still no errors. Amazing weapon.

owned this weapon for a long time. Love it. I do have a small problem with the feeding when using cheap ammo.

I'm happy with my M&P, I've also had some feed issues but they've since been resolved. A good all around rifle.
