Nice unit, I like the aiming recticle in a dot, rather than Kustom's circle. It is a bit heavier than the Pro Laser III, but I like the fact it used regular "C" batteries. I work in a traffic unit, so I pull the trigger alot, and I get two weeks out of 2 'C' batteries. The shoulder rig is removeable. I like the angle of the Pro Laser better, but the grip has comfortable rubber coating. My agency had the PLIII, Pro Lite and this unit. Everybody has their favorites and about half chose this over the PLIII

I have this model. I love it. it is fairly light weight. It is easy to aim and easy to aquire targets. When our department was looking at getting LIDAR this company was also very easy to work with and provided intial training to our traffic officers when the units were deliverd. I use this equipmen every day. I also like the battry pack instead of a cord or recharable system.

I have been using this unit for about 10 years and have found it to be very dependable and easy to use. Working traffic is easy with this unit due to being able to identify each target. Additionally, we have added the mapping software and use this unit to map out crash and crime scenes. By doing this we are able to show the jury what the scene looked like and with the right software the diagrams can be put into 3-D. LTI sent a person to train each of our officers on Traffic and if we have questions, we get answers within a couple of days and most time within a hour or so. Their customer service is great and the sales representatives are easy to locate and work with. Contact your area representative and give this unit a try, you will be impressed. Also they have a new unit that just came out and it cost under $2000 and is 5 times more faster than the UltraLyte. The TrueSpeed unit does not do mapping and is used for speed only. We did a demo on this and asked our money person to purchase one for each of our traffic units.
