I have driven just about all types of patrol vehicles, I love this car it's roomy and confortable and handes excellent on highways and city streets. I'm 6'2 250lbs. and i have a center colsole in my unit and its roomy. we have 5 dodge chargers in our fleet now.. highly recommended.

I have been driving mine for 3 mths now. My only issues are the blind spots when backing up and the wind noise from my light bar. There is no way that the Crown Vic can compete in handeling, turning radius, or braking. Sorry Ford.

I loved how these cars looked, but I was skeptical of their use, until I got issued the FIRST EVER dodge charger in my small town police department. Mine is the V8 HEMI version, and I have to say, so far, in ALL aspects, it is just simply flawless. I have heard some things about the field of vision, but after I got used to it, I didn't really notice anything worth complaining about.
The speed is just unmatchable, both out of the gate, and on the top end. The cornering is much better. There were some streets with my crown vic that I would have to do 3 point turns on to get someone, but with my charger, I just whip it around.
I love this car.

We just got an 08 and already have an 07. The dept loves it. We are changing back all new cars to the black and white scheme and they are sharp looking. Handle great and go like the wind.

This is a cool car to look at and to drive. We received our first two less than a month ago. This car handles loads better than the 06 PI I was rotated out of. It is comfortable and fun to drive. That's scary to say about a patrol car!

I love my 2008 Dodge Charger. I have driven a Chevrolet Lumina, Crown Vic, and now a Charger and it is the best by far. Only problem I have with 08 Charger is the door locks. the doors for some reason cannot be locked while the car is running. I know this is a good feature to have for everyday driving but when you jump out rather quickly it would be nice to be able to hit the lock button with the car running. Anybody know how to possibly override this feature. If so shoot me a message.

I love this car!! I am so glad I was able to get out of an Impala. A Charger is so much better.

I'm driving a 2007 Charger, V8-Hemi, 5.7L. I drove the Vics for 7 years before I got my Charger. It is a beast of a car. Handles well and great take off power. Only thing that sux about it is the blind spots and the transmission. You can't switch from reverse to drive like you can with the Vics. It takes about 3 seconds before it to change into drive, maybe the traction control feature is the cause of this? I don't know. But over all, it is a hell of a ride.

We have 4 on patrol. They are an excellent piece of machinery. Handles great, good torque and horsepower and stops on a dime.

I have driven the Ford Police Interceptor, the Chevrolet Impala and the Chevrolet Caprice Classic. I have always been a big supporter of the Caprice for law enforcement use. HOWEVER, I believe that Chrystler has out done themselves with the Charger. I have been issued this vehicle since August 08, and I must say it has surpassed all my expectations. The patrol will have to pull me off, spray me, or fire me to get me away from this car.

This is the first NEW patrol vehicle I have been issued since being on the force. I had a hand me down 2006 model and both are 5.7's but I am here to tell you that you can sure tell that there are 35 more hp's under the hood whew. This is without a doubt the fastest patrol vehicle I have ever been in. Only thing bad to say is once you are in the drivers seat there is not much room to move around with a full center control box and if you have a front seat passenger they are squeezed up next to the boom stick and it is kinda tuff to see out the back window to back up but hands down the best all around patrol vehicle I have ever had.

I DROVE A 1999 CROWN VIC, A 2001 CROWN VIC AND A 2003 CROWN VIC AND MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER WITH THE 5.7 L HEMI HAS BEEN THE BEST PATROL CAR I EVER DRIVEN. IT CORNERS LIKE IT'S ON RAILS. IT ACCELERATES LIKE A DREAM AND BREAKS EVEN BETTER.

The only reason to buy these cars is for the looks...beyond that these cars are horrible. Small interior working space, poor visibility, delay when you hit the gas, excessive road noise, hard/uncomfortable seats, minor maint issues constantly... that is just the short list! I can't imagine any administrator taking a smaller office because it looked bitchen on the outside, but that is exactly what happens when you a department buys a Charger. Give me back my Ford!
