Colt first introduced the use of a lightweight aluminum alloy in a gun frame in 1948. Building on this experience, the Colt Defender model now offers the power and performance of a full-sized .45 ACP pistol in a compact, lightweight carry model.
Small, lightweight, accurate, reliable, with excellent sights and able to withstand everyday wear and frequent practice sessions without the need for extensive maintenance.- Flag as inappropriate

I just bought this gun to switch off with my Glock 23 and I love it, nice and compact with a hell of a bang.

I bought this weapon as a carry-gun as a change up from my glock. I have only put abotu 300 rounds through it but I have not had a jam yet. Only issue is with reassembly after field stripping. ALWAYS have a problem getting the slide stop back in.

Pocket size, lightweight, grizzly bear power. No negatives here.

I bought a Colt Defender 3 years ago to back-up my Colt Combat Elite that has been tricked out for combat/competition. Don/t let the small size fool you. It shoots better than my Combat Elite as well as every other auto pistol I own or have been issued. I love it.

i normally buy sig saurs, but i could not find one thin enough to carry.i tried a p225,but its as big as my 228 sig.i have loved certrain colts over the years and when i found this one i got the model in 9mm because it was thin and with winchester talons in it.it does the job it intented to do.and since its a 9mm i have 8 rounds in the mag.more than enough.and for the guy having trouble with the slide lever take
some fine sandpaper and go around the pin a few times.worked for me.- Flag as inappropriate
