I first read this book when I met my neighbor Chet Hamilton in Virginia Beach. Great guy, rather old, wore a "Purple Heart" cap everyday when he went out for a bike ride. We struck up a friendship in my front yard as I would do yardwork and he would stop by on his rides. One afternoon he said that he had a book that I might enjoy reading and went to his house to get it. I read it from cover to cover, intrigued by the artful manner that the authors had first hand knowledge of the snipers and the details of their exploits in combat. When I went to return it to him, I said "Thanks Chet, this was great" and it had donned on me that Chet Hamilton was indeed the same guy who the author had thanked in the coverleaf and was written about in chapters 9 and 10 of the book. I immediately took a different view of my "friend". I repaired his GI .45 for him and gave him new magazines for it as well. He shook alittle when we went to the range, but you could see the 20 year old man who was still inside of this old warrior. God Bless them all.

This is a great book!!! Whether your into hisotry, sniping, or a combination of both. It goes into detail about where sniping started and how it got to where it is today. Also, there are personal stories from snipers who were on the front lines (so to speak) during Vietnam, WWII, etc. Very good read. I recommend it to all.

Excellent book. Descriptive accurate and thorough. It is a tribute to those warriors who put it all on the line for one shot one kill

I have read this book several times and is one of my favorites. Carlos is a warrior and carried himself as we all should with dignity, humbleness, and a respectful nature. Yes he shot others but he did it to save American lives. Excellent read!!!!!!!!!!!
