I've been running the model 551 on my M4, for approximately five years. Bar none, this is the best red dot optic I have ever used! The 65 moa ring allows for faster target aquisition and follow up shots. I have used mine in many different carbine classes, including those taught by professionals like Jeff Gonzales and Bennie Cooley.

Love it. I have had one on my issued Colt Commando for about 3 years and would not accept anything else....for some reason it will not let me rate it higher than a 2 star.

Mine is the one that uses AA batteries (because they last longer) and is mounted on an M4 5.56.
After sighting in I changed out my flash suppressor.
At 100 yards, the co-witness iron sights shot low and to the left 8 inches, the EOTECH was still spot on.
Doesn't make sense to me, but it seems to be right on at any range 100 yards and closer- no 'Kentucky Windage' necessary.
Tough, dependable.
Now I'm spoiled.- Flag as inappropriate

It really isn't that great if you hit the plastic cover around the sight. Then again that is why there is a metal cover.

Excellent sight, quick target acquisition, sturdy, and a big fan that it now uses AA batteries.

These things are great! I tend to need to carry extra batteries in my gear bag, just in case. Other than the battery life being alittle short in my opinion, you cant beat em. Eyes open, heads up display is great in all light conditions and you have all the peripheral vision....up close (1-3 yards)and farther than about 20 yards and you need to realize point of aim/impact changes as compared to your iron sights......go to the range.

Great product, very fast. You are able to come on target quickly. I love the aimpoint but this is much faster.

I love this thing. It's quick on the target, you can bounce it around, and I like the ability to tone down the level of brightness.

This product is truly worth its weight in gold. Since our Police department began issuing them to Tac Team Members, rifle scores have increasingly been on the rise. It is the most benificial to our shot gunners. With this sight they can put a slug through the 10 ring every time from 50 yards.

In a CQB situation, these Holosights rival the invention of the wheel! If you have never used one, you just can not understand. Try it!

Good weapon sight, but do not buy the "N" cell battery version. It seemed like every time I grabbed mine to turn it on the battery's were dead.

Love this sighting system. Had it zeroed in on my M&P 15 within 2 clicks on the vertical and 1 click on the horizontal. Both it and the rifle were right out of the boxes. and were set perfectly within 2 shots.

I have the model requiring Surefire 123 batteries. It does not have the 65 MOA (circle) for windage and elevation -don't need it for Patrol use. I've had it for about 2 years now and have never experienced a problem.

This is the best non-magnified optic out there!!!! I currently run one on my AR & a 762 version on my SOCOM 16......plus you can run a 3x magnifier if you need a bit of magnification.
