I recently purchased this light for my Mossberg 500. It is a truly functional light. The only drawback to the product is there is less grip area on the forend and it is possible that a hand will slip off the slide while working the action. Also the drop down area behind the flashlight knock the heck out of your hand if you place it directly behind it. Probably wouldn't bother me under a high stress, low round count situation (engage and assess threat), but I notice it when I shoot 3 gun competitions. If you can live with these negatives (I can to have peace of mind that I will have a light on a target and still have both hands on my weapon) it is an excellent piece of gear that no patrolman should be without.

I think this product is great...I used it during 140 + hour manhunt for an escaped Inmate and had no problems. The light that it puts off is great and was very needed. It does not add a lot of weight to the weapon and does not effect function.

I have one mounted on a mossberg 590. The light is very bright and maintains a good beam without frequent battery changes. I can feel the weight that it adds especially after handling my friends weapon that does not have the light. The beam is somewhat obstructed cutting of part of the light. and the pressure pad has begun to deteriorate, with those faults it is still an excellent piece to have on any weapon

Great light for your shotgun.
Only 4/5 because it is heavier and bulkier than others out there. I really like the new Single Cell LED models.
