The new ones with the polymer scabbard are great if you have to play in the water. Not to berate the classic leather, of course.

This knife is virtually indestructable. I have one in which I used as a can opener for doors of all sizes. Plus if you can break the blade they will replace it, in which I am still trying.

The Ka-Bar is hands down the greatest fighting/utility knife there is. I have the standard size ka-bar and a smaller version of it which could be more easily concealed. When it comes to a blade, there is nothing that packs a meaner punch and is more reliable in a variety of scenarios than a Ka-Bar.

It's a Ka-bar! There's a reason why they have been the US military fighting knife since 1942.

Once you've put hand to a good Ka-Bar, nothing else can compare. There are quite a few excellent combat blades available from BK&T and Gerber for instance, but none offers the all-around versatility and stability as a Ka-Bar in my opinion.

A good rugged knife used mine for everything from eating my C-rats to digging a foxhole and it holds an edge nicely. On my second one, only because someone swiped my first one, a USMC issue knife, and the Army gave me another.

Awesome knife to have for all situations that require a blade. If the full 7 inch blade is to much there is a 5 1/2 inch that i carry.

A standard of mine since Parris Island in 1975! Not much to say except that it is there when I need it, cuts what needs cutting, and then goes back to sleep until my next need arises. When the chips are down, it pays to have a friend around that you can count on!

Being that I am a former Marine, I LOVE THIS KNIFE. You will not ever find a better all around knife than this. Of course as a cop you can't really hook this bad boy up to your duty belt like you can to some deuce gear, but anyone who is survival minded would benefit from owning a good solid K-Bar!
