Description:

The M1 Garand was not only unique in it's self-loading ways but the system managed an eight round "clip" of 30-06 Springfield ammunition. This clip was interestingly enough loaded from the top of the weapon, keeping the overall design clean and smooth.

I have a lot of guns but I'm looking for one of these. I've never even held one, but I'm sure I'm going to love it once I find one.

I had a Blue Sky inport M1 and loved it. Had to do a little fixing up so it was accurate out to 600m but it came right around. I had a brain fart and sold it, though, with I hadn't. A little heavy, but OMG what a rifle!

Excellent shooting rifle. I have one in a match grade, and one for "plinking", and both shoot very well for there ages. It's successor, the M-14/M1A, is just as good, but magazine feed instead and 308 Winchester for the caliber.

This weapon helped win World War II. Very accurate and that 30-06 round packs a mean punch.

I have never owned one, however I hear great things! the only negitive thing I have heard is the ping/ding sound when you run out of ammo. I heard back in WWII once the enemy found this out they would wait for it and then do bad things....i.e. lobbing grenades, open fire, whatever else. Everything else I have ever heard of has been great. I really wish I owned one. Maybe one day when I get a better job.

One of the best rifles I've ever picked up. Was extreamly accurate, and well balanced. The rounds go through pretty much anything without a problem. Only negative aspect is the weight, but its worth it.

One of the Greatest Firearms of all time!!! I have fired a M-1 numerious times and feel that it is still one of the top rifles in the world, a trained rifleman man could take this into battle against a untrained rifleman with newer weapons and the M-1 would prevail. Its Accurate, Simple to use, Uses a Great round that puts down any man, it just get the job done

Too big. Too heavy. It does work very well with Honor Guard Rifle Drill though.

I have several, they all shoot great. My favorite is the one my dad used during WW2 in the pacific, wouldn't part with it at any price.

The standard U.S. infantry rifle in WWII and Korea, this 30.06 cal. beauty is accurate and hard hitting . It has been adapted to sniper use very successfully and is a favorite of LE Honor Guard teams. It is a true gem of a rifle.

I HAVE TWO, BOTH SPRINGFIELD. BEING OLD SCHOOL AND HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THE 5.56 TO LAST A LIFETIME WHILE IN VIET NAM. I REALIZED THAT MY FATHER KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
AS WITH MANY THINGS IN LIFE, BIGGER IS BETTER, 150gn 30-06 vs 55gn .223 BOTH CAPABLE OF 600 YRD KILLS. I REALLY DON'T SEE THE ARGUMENT
THE M1 GARAND "THE FINEST BATTLE IMPLEMENT EVER DEVISED" Gen George Patton.

Made back when a gun was a gun....It's archaic by todays standards but a piece of history and my favorite rifle. No rails, bipod, or plastic anywhere....love it. If it ran out of ammo you could use the rifle as a club.
