New Active Retention System by Blackhawk! With this unique holster design, forget about obsolete thumb breaks that slow your draw and complicate re-holstering. The patented SERPA lock engages the trigger guard as you holster the pistol, and it won’t FEATURES: Release is made with your normal drawing motion, with the trigger finger beside the holster body. As the trigger finger comes to rest on the SERPA lock’s release mechanism, push the mechanism as you draw the weapon.

This is a great holster that is compact, lightweight and convenient. I still prefer shoulder holsters myself for easy of movement.

Really cool design, I like the level 2 security but I don't like how it doesn't conceal very well under a t-shirt or polo. You need a jacket or heavy sweatshirt to keep a medium or large frame pistol concealed with this.

Works great with Glock 17. It does not conceal very well, however it will keep your gun safely locked to your side. The quick release works without a hitch. Highly recommend!

EXCELLENT! - Lightweight, strong. rigid, yet a certain amount of flexibility. Carbon fiber finish looks great with basketweave duty belt, etc. Good level of retention and safety with unlimited resistance to draw. I am very pleased with this model - can be worn on duty belt, personal belt, or concealed, with paddle.

The holster is great save for one problem. without a proper duty belt, that is balanced, the holster gets uncomfortable after a few hours, particularly in the sitting position.Other than that, I love the SERPA lock. I like the sercurity and quick draw. During traiing, the academy instructor, a man of 270lbs could not break pull the lock in our excersise. That's dependability in my eyes.

i am a reserve deputy and i am required to carry my firearm at all times on or off duty.i chose this holster because alot of the other deputies carry this holster with their glock 19 and 23.i had a fobus holster and i had someone steal my gun during a confrontation even though i was laying on it as i was trained to do.i am lucky to be alive and proud i had my backup firearm on my ankle.with this holster it is almost impossible for your firearm to be removed from your side with the serpa thechnology.also it is real easy to draw your firearm.this is a great holster for anyone from law enforcement to concealed pistol permit owners.way to go blackhawk

Great holster for off duty carry. You do have to practice to get used to the push button release. The only thing to watch are the screws on the back that secure the "paddle" to the holster. Over time they will loosen and if youre not careful, the holster will detach from the "paddle".

Very easy carry, sits well on the belt. Simple operation, very easy and quiet draw and simple reholstering. For duty carry this is a fantastic option, for concealed carry, it is a little large, an IWB is probably a better choice. With a jacket or vest, this is a great holster and I have a box of other attempts that just don't live up to this one.

The Serpa is a poorly designed but well marketed holster that has a user to press in with the finger tip as they draw their pistol.

Some times the finger ends up right on the trigger pressing inward well before it would be safe to do.

I have also seen seasoned operators unable to draw from a Serpa holster under stress. I have also seen debris accumulate under the release button and "lock" the holster.

Not only does the holster have great retention, and ease of use with the trigger-finger lining up perfectly with the release mechanism automatically when you draw the weapon... But, it (at least the one I ordered) came with a belt loop attachment AND a paddle holster attachment, and you can adjust the angle at which the weapon rests on either the belt loop or paddle holster attachment.

I loved this holster when I carry in the open in the FBI forward Kant. I use the holster now as the drop leg when out on the ATV. I found for CC it only worked well for winter with a jacket of some sort. I had one for my Glock 17(RH), 38 Snub (LH&RH), and 1911(RH). For CC though I went to a Skyops leather. Much more comfrtable and closer snug fit to the body.

I have used this poducst for two months now and love the holster (on duty) for the most part. I have seen that every one is seems to be in adgreement about the pros of the holster that I have as well. But in the military we carry a Beretta 92F and I keep sweeping the safety off. With the military they are alittle freakish about it. But still I love it very much

Just got mine today for my Glock Model 30. I like the pancake feature and the fact the the weapon, which is equipped with a Crimson Trace Laser grip, is secure and easily drawn. Need to take it to the range now to practice with it.

Nice product... Easy to draw your weapon.

10 times better than Fobus unless it's the new model with the thumb release. The ITAC that is available now makes me wonder about the durability of the retention button.

It feels cheasier than the first generation of Fobus, plus having to find an allen wrench to change from paddle to belt (which is another $14.99 locally) is a bit of a pain. Most of the dealers are taking out the wrench and selling it to you instead of it coming with it. Sort of like what the dealers were doing with blue label Glocks a few years ago.

You love or hate this holster. My firearms academy trainer wouldn't allow for this holster, because he believed in the heat of the moment that your finger would automatically slide into the trigger guard. I feel the exact opposite. I practice with this holster on a regular basis and love it. Press the button, and your finger comes out in the ready position.

Love this holster, wait for it, wait for it, except the paddle back tends to dig into my side when in a vehicle. wear all the time.

Great for tactical, horrible for concealment!
