*THE* book on homicide investigation. If you investigate murder, and can only have one book, this one is it.

A "Must Have" for the bookshelf of any Homicide Unit, or anyone interested in the dynamics of Homicide investigations. Geberth is a Master in this field and his 4th edition only adds to his credentials as a "star" of the LEo community.

Great book. I attended one of his courses. He knows what he's talking about, but after a week of pictures and video's of dead people is about enough for me. He even has videos of actual deaths (autoerotic hangings that went bad).

I have attended several seminars that Geberth has spoke at, I purchased this at one. It is well worth the money, very detailed and informative. If you do nothing but look at the pictures you will learn something. Years of experience and expertise have went into this book and you will use it as a reference your entire career.

The very first book handed down to me when I was transferred to detectives. Since receiving the publication, its been the single most informative writing on the topic of homicide that I have been exposed to. Great read.

Excellent book for Crime Scene and Death Investigators. For those who have had the opportunity to attend one of the PHI seminars, the instruction is unbelievable. This book is a must for all investigators.

I have known Vernon for a number of years. Although we have disagreed, he is the master in writing and lecture on crime scene investigation. This is a must have book for any law enforcement officer.

Vernon is one of the best instructors and authors I have ever met. He is straight forward with his teaching and the research that goes into his books are top notch. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in being a homicide detective and/or who is already in the unit looking to reinforce sound investigative practices and/or proceedures.
