the ammo is the 185 gr +p golden saber hollowpoint. I have shot several deer with this load and it's devastating on them. One bullet recovered mushroomed perfectly. It should work just as well on humans.

This is our department mandated ammo for on and off-duty use. I have never had a problem, squib, or misfire.

A bit price-y, but well worth the extra bucks. Our Dept. switched over from the Speer loads to the Remington loads. There seems to be alittle less "filth" off of these loads and the powders and residue scleans up easily with "of course" Remingtom solvents.

I carry this ammunition in my off-duty / back-up Glock 27. The expansion and penetration power of this round is outstanding. I've always been a Remington Ammo fan.

This is a great high performance round. Great for policing and home defense. We have "used" these rounds on a few occasions ay my department and they performed flawlessly and ended violent situatons. No worries about over penetration and very accurate. Highly recommend this round.

Good ammo, good penetration without the through and through effect of other FMJ's and other rounds. Makes for a good home protection round, will not end up in somebody else’s front room.

Excellent ammo. I test all the ammo I use and these are incredible. They expand perfectly unlike many hollowpoints that exist. I would recommend these for duty and ccw. Sure they are a little pricy, but no more than other comparible brands. Either way I'd rather pay a couple more dollars for something that really works.

In .40, I have had quite a few (200+) rounds where the bullet were undersized by 5-20 1/100ths.

I carry this round in the .40 version only problem I've ever had was I have found 2 9mm rounds in the boxes while at range and new boxes. I personally opened the box and the first one I didn't realize as I was running a combat course. Actually worked out like it was part of the drill. Round actually loaded but wouldn't fire. Cleared the problem and continued the course of fire. After the range instructor and I found the round and were looking it over then looked at the primer trying to figure out what caused the failure. not a scratch on the primer. After a minute I noticed the 9mm printed on the casing. Very good lesson learned. That was my only bad experience. These rounds shoot consistently and I've put some deer that were involved with PIAAs down and have had better luck with this round than the state police in the area with the ammo they carry.

This is the ammunition we are required to carry. Don't know about the .45 but in .40, this round consistently maintains in excess of 90% of its weight after impact.

The 230 grain JHP in .45ACP is the issue round for my agency. I have yet to see a hang fire or dead primer, never had a failure to function, and it is very accurate in this caliber. I'm just glad it is issued so I don't have to buy it!

My current first choice defense ammo. Evan Marshall's research as well as the FBI ammo tests put this ammo neck and neck just ahead of Federal Hydro-shoks. As well as the Hydro-shoks performed in the shooting I was in... well if theses are even a little better, I want em in my gun.

Not bad. This is my department issue and wouldn't be my first choice, but it is a consistent performer and has decent ballistics. I've never had a misfire in either .45 or .357 sig.

This the department favorite and Remington doesn't let us down. We use 40 cal. and when it hits it, it stops it.

This is the best round I have seen so far for duty ammo. We were involved in a shoot out along with another department. Both deparments carried .40 cal but we had Winchester Silver tip and they had the new (at the time) Remington Golden Saber. We pulled one of each out of a tire, ice chest full of water, and dashboard. Their were others thruout the vehicle. In the three cases where they were fired into the same item the Golden Sabers outperformed the Winchester. In many cases the Winchester closed up while the Remington had great expansion.

147s in a 9, 230s in a 45, 125s in 38s and 357s, and 102s in a 380. GREAT bullets. Excellent track record. Designed by the same dude that did the black talon.

This is my issue duty ammo in the 9mm 125 gr. JHP configuration. It's ok...nothing to write home to Mom about, but becasue the FBI digs it, that good enough for my boss. Enough said. There is much better out there on the market and would have prefered something hotter in a +p+ like the 115 gr SJHP...but I carry this for the reason stated. in gereral, it's a average round that SHOULD work.

Accurate, low recoil, low flash...
Poor performance in my testing.
Test medium was Level IIIA Dyneema armor. Didn't even make it through four layers on one panel. Poorest performance of all rounds tested.
