Description:

These pistols are basically compact versions of standard combat guns, but the shape of their frame and their slim profile make them well suited as purse guns, or for people with small hands (No doubt this is why S&W called this version the Ladysmith). The pistols are stainless steel manufacture, and can be purchased with a choise of pastel colored frames, the color is part of the metal, a anodized finish. The 3953 is a double action only version, but both guns employ a eight round magazine. Weight: 1.6 lbs (.71 kg) Caliber: 9 mm Barrel: 3.5 inch (8.75 cm) Action: Double Action Range: 165 ft (50 m) Payload: 8 + 1 My Cost: $350 Made in: USA Special: Good quality and finish, all steel, different colors available, slim profile.

I bought mine used. I'm sure new it'd be a lot nicer. The main reason I bought it is for an off-duty piece. It's been very reliable and accurate, but I wouldn't carry it for a primary weapon. It's great for concealing and/or carrying in my purse. I have to push my mags in though. They don't go in as smoothly as my other guns. I have to push harder than I should to get the mag in place, in my opinion. It's the spring or whatever, because when I release the mag it shoots out with force. It needs adjusted, but that's the only issue I've had.

I bought this as my concealed weapon with a small of the back holster am not a fan of the 9mm but i guess with 147gr. speer gold dots that should take care of any threat, I myself have small hands so i like the way it feels its very acurate and easy to fire, those with larger hands proabaly wouldent like this weapon but i really like it, i even like the weight of the weapon. Overall this a Good piece for a speific duty manily concealed or off duty wear, it is not in my opinion a good choice as a primary duty weapon cause of its small size, realitivty low mag capacity and low caliber. But other than that its is a good weapon

I had one. It is nice and thin thanks to a single stacked mag losing the bulky feeling. I still thought it was a little too large frame wise for a concealable pistol. If it was a .40 or .45 they could get away with it.

I have one and love it. I carried this as my duty weapon and now carry it for protection. The compact size fits my hand very well. This weapon is very easy to break down and clean. This weapon is well balanced and fires very smoothly. I think this is one of Smith & Wessons finest weapons.

I received my 3913 from my Dad years ago and since then it has been nothing but spectacular. As of date, not one jam... Even with the crappiest ammo. It points naturally and seems to be designed for my hand. Being a single stacker it begs for a IWB holster and is an excellent summer CCW. Solid, reliable and well made... Like my Father.
