Be sure t prqactice, as you want to get used to the mag release that sits very close to your strong thumb and is too easily depressed. Great for a jacket-held or ankle gun. Very concealable for off-duty carry. If you use it, though, the small caliber will dictate that you empty it.

Great little back up. Can hide this thing in places you might not think and fun to shoot. Drawback, finding this model, mostly a collectable now.

I have the Mustang Plus II and love it.... It was given to me as a graduation gift from the academy... Shoots great with just a little practice.... And you can conceal it almost anywhere... Just remember this is a back up gun NOT a primary....

Great Gun! Fine quality. Of course it's a Colt, what else do you expert. I have carried it for 4 years now both as a back up and for off duty carry in the summer. But the off duty carry is just till I can get to my Big Gun.

This is not a $200 firearm as listed in this review. I just picked one up and paid $600. That was the best deal in town as well as the internet. If it wasn't for the "Colt" pricing, I would give this little beauty a 5 star rating. Very reliable and accurate compared to other pocket pistols.

I bought mine in the mid 80's (Colt Mustang Pocketlite) for $285 and just sold it for $1100.00 The pocketlites are rare but Colt is starting to make them again next year.
This little .380 was light weight, 1911 features, and was a smooth shooter, although not very accurate over 10 yards. With the right ammo and good shot placement it's a wonderful little pocket gun. However, because it is a 1911 it has a lot of snag points which makes it hard to draw from a pocket or ain IWB hoilster. I recently opted for a Ruger LCP with a Lasermax. It is extremely light weight, no snag points and will fire any hot loaded .380 personal protection ammo you chose.
I like it better than the Colt Mustang Pocketlite. If this particular weapon is not a pocketlite I can't see the value of having it.- Flag as inappropriate
