Outstanding book for learning self defense. Good book to read.

This book is a wonderful tool for officers, it covers all of the basic techs needed to get yourself out of some close situations..As we all know, most encounters with us end up on the ground and seem like an eternity...this will help prepare you to combat many different holds and strikes that our subjects will try their hardest to deliver. It is great for females or smaller officers.

every officer can take something away from this book whether you have 2, or 22 years on. they say 80% of all fights go to the ground and jiu-jitsu is about technique and control--to gain the upper hand and be safe.

ultimately most fights will take you to the ground, having a ground game will aid you in most situations. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a foundation the would benefits most law enforcement officers.

This is a very good book if you are wanting learn anything for fighting on the ground.

Grood information, but as with anything it involves a lot of practice.. Don't just read the book, get on the mat with a buddy, practice and test the techniques. Reading the book does not make you proficient in applying the techniques under stress.
