Belly chain used inside jails and arrests. Not used them myself so far but pretty unique to the US correction system. Any experience ?

Works great, only flaw is you have to reach around the inmate with both hands to pass the chain around. That and while dropping the cuffs, there is a chance of "ringing the bells"...know what I mean, fellas? As for as security, great. But when you cinch it tight, watch for belly bloat, kinda like a horse....

I dunno about this chain....the one that the local sheriffs depot is in three seperate parts, which from the looks of this chain the older one that 'we' has better. first you cuff the person with standard cuffs, then you have the chain(which is like a heavy ass monster chain), and then it is all connected with this little metal box. Even though this chain is all togeather it deffinatly has its flaws.....i like the older methods a little better. (oh BTW i didn't have the chain on me due to leagal things. it was a demo for some elementary class that i assisted with)
