Good weapon. While I personally perfer a different manufacturer's product, this is the one I am issued by my agency. For a standard "riot gun" this is a good, solid and dependable shotgun. Feeds reliably shoot good. The 8-shot capacity is good for having pleanty of ammo ready to fire. However, the trade-off for this capacity is the length. Not convenient for getting in an out of the vehicle (and my g-car is a 2500 P/U truck). Also, the length is combersom inside of residences and buildings.

not much on mossberg. may be ok with 2 3/4" shells, but i doubt it will handle a steady diet of magnum rounds.

I own one of these, and like it alot. But don't expect to take it to the range or or go hunting; this guage is made for clearing a room and thats it. But the persuader 500 can easily turn into a custom gun. I added a top folding stock with a spare ammo clip, and tactical flash light to mine.

This is perhaps the greatest shotgun I have ever owned. Mine is outfitted with the collapsable buttstock, pistol grip, and six round shell holder on the buttstock. Have not had any issues with it yet, had many compliments on how "convincing" it looks!

I have the black powder coated 500 with M-4 stock/ pistol grips Fr.& R. Has jammed up only once when I got sand in it. I do prefer the Spas model 12, but it cost too much to justify it. This 500 is the cats ass and wont break the wallet. Love the front mount rails! It will shoot 3" shells but I wouldnt reccomend it.
