I recently added a Mossberg pump action 12 gauge to my small arsenal at home. I paid $299.00 for it, I liked it so much, I bought another for the same price. (Our local Police Department is undercut backs-when a class is cancelled, many Officers sell their equipment to the pawn shops.) This is a lght weight, smooth action. Even my little girl can man handle this shotgun. It is all black, the bluing is black as well, a dull black, great for carrying in the open down a fence line or around the corner at your side, not seen by anyone but yet, a handy weapon of choice not by many security officers but also by Police Officers as well.
I gave this 5stars, for brand, pricing, and quality, ease of cleaning and care and useage.

not real fond of this shotgun. it may be ok for 2 3/4" shells, but i don't think it will stand up to a steady diet of magnum loads. jmo

Great shotgun! Had it for years, modified it up with a folding butt stock and pistol grip, heat shield, scope mount, and pistol grip pump. No its far better all for under for $500 for gun and mods. Shoots great, loads and feeds smooth, and cleaning is simple after first time.

Great shotgun for the price. I thought the action was stiff when new. I put a non-folding pistol grip buttstock and a pistol grip pump. I changed the front sight to a fiber optic and added a heat sheild and flashlight mount. No regrets.

Actually bought this one for home protection. Great capacity and never a malfunction. Would definitely recommend.

Needed a quality, but budget minded home defense weapon. This shotgun fits the bill quite well. Have shot a variety of rounds through this weapon with no problems or dislikes. The lack of heft compared to a Remmington 870 is the only thing that I have mild issues with. At the same time I have packed this weapon into bear country on extended long range trips and the lack of weight does pay off in the end.

My father bought one for me when he went on one of his shopping sprees. I do really enjoy shooting it. The thing with me is it has to look good too and this one does.
