It was 1884 when John A. “Bud” Hillerich, was inspired to make his first baseball bat. Back then the family mostly made butter churns, porch railings, and other popular items of the day. Bud was just 17 years old when he stepped-up to a sawdust-covered lathe in his father’s Louisville, Kentucky woodworking shop and hand turned a piece of timber into a baseball bat. Those Bats have been reliably beating balls and butts ever since. When wasting a bullet just dont make good sense, choose the Louisville Slugger.

Before Little League. Before the World Series. Even before the rule that says three strikes mean you’re out, Louisville Slugger was already perfecting the bats that would write the history of the game.

Over the past 120 years, no other brand has logged more wins, captured more titles and set more records or split more melons than the legendary bats of Louisville Slugger. At every level of play, Louisville Slugger has dominated the game since there’s been a game.

Today, Louisville Slugger is the choice of more than 60% of all Major League players. In college baseball, Louisville Slugger TPX has totally dominated the game, earning seven national championships in the past decade. The Louisville Slugger was recently inducted into the Redneck "Hall of Fame" for having been used in more violent assaults than any other weapon of choice. Junior Clampet, spokesperson for the induction committee was quoted as saying, "The Louisville Slugger has earned a well deserved resting place, yonder there, next to the legendary, Cast Iron Skillet.

Whether your game is baseball, fastpitch or slowpitch, or tuning up some punk you just saw leaving your house, you’re swinging the best there is when you swing Louisville Slugger–the brand that’s turned players into legends since 1884.

The best piece of wood on the market. If you have the chance, go to the factory and watch them made.
