The Stinger LED is hands down the best L.E.D. light on the market. It holds the coveted Streamlight name and same durability of ones in the past. The light is bright and it's functions it can perform are amazing and well received. I have sold many of these lights as well as carrying one on duty.

I have always used stinger lights. You can always carry it on your duty belt. On day watch, you don't always grab the big mag, and the stinger is there when you need it. This led is great.

I use the light all the time. It works well even during the day. The strobe feature gets thier attention quicker than a always on beam. I suggest also purchasing the traffic cone attachment that is very useful at night.

Awesome light! lightweight and extremely bright. The strobe function is a real attention getter when directing traffic. Wouldn't even consider working night shift without it. However, it doesn't have that same comforting heft as rolling out of the cruiser with my very scarred Mag-Lite (heh, heh, heh)

I find this to be an outstanding flashlight - bar none! I rarely carry anything else - not even my ultra-stinger. The light is awesome for illuminating vehicle interiors with shadows. It just lights up the entire interior with no harsh beams and no harsh shadows. Many times I can approach the passenger side of a vehicle in the dark, observe the occupants for a few moments and they never know I am there intil I am ready to let them know. It is TOO COOL!

Bright enough to keep you safe, light enough to stay out of your way, great non-slip rubber gasket around the bulb area to ensure secure grip. Strobe Mode is very distracting to suspects and helps to move large crowds. Charge lasts multiple shifts, even with regular use. Durable. Bianchi makes a short holster, but I have already ripped the seam in it, so I would get a full size holster. Great Light.

A fantastic belt light. Plenty bright I'll use it on hot calls or other such situations where a full size mag light would be too bulky. Solidly built. With over a 6 hour battery life I can go a couple tours without charging it. The strobe function combined with a light cone makes for increased visibility at night when you have to redirect traffic around an accident scene. You can select brightness level, push the button and release for continuous light, or have it only light up when your finger is on the switch...ideal for building searches.

I purchased this light to replace my old Stinger Flashlight. The LED light will stay full strength for about 6 hours. My old light would last about 1 hour all together. So far, it has survived several drops on the floor. The strobe light is really a great asset. So is the dimmer.

Stinger LED got it right with the best quality I have found for the price. The strobe function is quite disorienting, and I have used it several times to distract an aggressive subject. The quote afterwards is always "What did you do to my eyes?" If you can't see you can't fight, at least fight well anyways. The flashlight is large enough to be effectively used as a control device when needed, but small enough to fit well in an open holder on duty belt. Best $100 I ever spent.

Very bright LED light! I tend to use this light instead of my D-cell flashlight. The LED projects a white light and not "yellow." You can depress the switch to have a strobe light. This is very helpful while your out of the cruiser and you want motorists to see where you are. This light is a must for midnight officers. A+

I carry this flashlight everytime I report for duty. When other flashlights have failed on me this little guy keeps going. It has never lost its charge and fits perfect on my duty belt. I was directing traffic on a DUI check point and used this flashlight. Six hours passed and several officers had their flashlight die on them. The Stinger never lost the beam intensity and never went dead. I would highly reccomend this flashlight!

This has been a great tool for some of our department members. I currently carry the older model, but ordered the LED to carry on night shift. I like the strobe feature and we have found it helpful when tracking suspects. Our K9 officer used it to show his location in an open area search at night which made it easy for assisting officers to set up perimeter. The strobe stands out and is almost impossible to miss. Welll worth the investment and with the LED the battery life is much better that the original model.

I have the DS model (dual switch). I love this light for the bright, white light the LED gives off. The strobe feature is nice to signal responding cover units. The only real complaint I have is that the rubber cover on the side switch pops halfway out on occasion making a real pain in the butt to put back where it needs to go... it will prematurely wear out I'm sure. The other small thing is that the rubber ring on the head that they put on to keep it from rolling off your hood etc. almost immediately gets lost (pops off). All 5 or so guys I know that have them lost them on day one. Make sure the tailcap is tight... I have one buddy whose cap fell off getting out of the car and the switch fell to the ground in 3 pieces... it took us a while to get it back together. Don't get me wrong though... I'm not going back to my old Stinger as a primary flashlight anytime soon. I get a solid work week of normal use between charges The upsizing from the standard Stinger is nice because it now fits comfortably in your armpit while writing cites etc....

I also own the DS. GREAT light to have and use as a primary light. I agree on the complaint that the rubber cover on the side switch pops out. I lost my rubber ring that goes on the head of the flashlight that keeps it from rolling the first day. Minor defects but an outstanding piece of equipment.

I have the new version of this flashlight, the Streamlight Stinger DS LED with Fast Charge. The only difference being the DS (dual switch) has a second button on the bottom of the light as well as on the head.
It is the brightest flashlight I have ever seen, and if it's too bright for the situation, just simply hold the button and it will cycle through the brightness levels. Or, if you power the flashlight on/off twice quickly, it will go into strobe mode.
Highly recommended!

I purchased this flashlight over a year ago. It is awesome. It allows you to see further than traditional lights. It also uses less battery life. I purposely carried this light around for approximately three months while working day and evening shift (7-3, 3-11) before it needed charging. My co-workers have asked me repeatedly where I got this flashlight. Several of them will purchase it.

Great product, but the earlier models have button issues and if the battery is not properly charged you will have problems getting it to light or strobe. Still this is by far the best product ont he market I have found that is reasonably priced so that a front line Officer can afford it with out having to take out a mortgage. I own two of these and rotate them in service. Very good investment!

Strobe is a good feature, great for distracting people. Only bad thing I can say is that when the battery goes dead there's no warning. For instance, regular bulb starts to dim. You have to make sure you always have it charged. All and all good flash light.

I have the DS model with the additional tail cap switch. Fantastic light for crime scene work. The only drawback is that you can't focus the beam. You do, however, get three brightness levels. It's just big enough that I can hold it under my arm while fingerprinting, while still small enough to carry on my belt at all times. As others have mentioned, it's wickedly bright.

Overall, this thing has it's place firmly on my duty rig. I'll only switch if they improve this model.

Been using the Stinger LED for about 1.5 years now. Excellent light regarding brightness and toughness. Versatility is also high as it had three (3) different light intensities plus a strobe mode. I have had difficulty with the switch however. The rubber switch guard has come off twice and I have had issues with the light not wanting to turn off or out of strobe on occasion. I believe that replacing the switch would correct these issues. Overall an excellent patrol light with some switch limitations.

Great choice as a secondary flashlight. Best light I've ever used. Better than those billy club Mag light, and longer lasting to! I love that I can interchange with just the press, and hold of a button; I can dim it down or raise the intensity to max to: search through a purse, back pack, even pockets, to signaling a space shuttle in space, illuminate a field, disorient an attacker with the strobe (yes have been forced to do so on two occasions does work, and gives you that second you need to maneuver while all they see is a dot, and can't judge distance or speed for a brief second.) Vehicle search, train search, wreck search, signalling for back up or the EMTs, even around the house...Even when I felt stupid by dropping it in the pool, it still worked, and with Stream lights life time guarantee...It's the best light for the buck.
Which btw pays for it self because you no longer have to buy bulbs, or batteries, and its last FOREVER! My ex used to ask I leave it on at night as her night light. she wakes up puts it on the charger, 4 hour charger i grab and go to work.

I have carried and used many flashlights for various purposes. I have also used many different versions of the Stinger. I like this one the best. The variable brightness, the strobe, and the two control buttons, (one on the side and one on the bottom) make it perfect for most any application.

The Stinger is just the right weight, extremely durable and has a powerful beam. I've used this light for over 6 years and never had a problem. The traffic cone is an essential accessory.

Right weight, keeps a charge for along time, seams to be tough enough to handle the wear and tear of the job. With ac/dc recharging is perfect for the long haul.

I use this as my back up flashlight in case my Surefire G2 (Q5 LED) goes out. I use it for prolong periods of needing light, something my G2 can't do, stay on longer than 2 hrs. Very durable, push button could be more sensitive, but other than that, great light.

Great light, light weight, rugged, and puts out tons of light. I have stopped quite a few criminals dead in there tracks by just shinning it in their eyes. The strobe function also works great to get motorists attention on a dark night pulling traffic control

This has been the best "little flashlight" I have ever used. Charge it constantly if you can. Change the battery once every 12 months and you are ready for another year. I now use the LED light and the Stinger seems to be brighter.

I have the LED DS. My only complaint on the light is when the batteries are done they are done. There is no warning, its gets dim for a few seconds then poof no more light.
Other than that I love it. I don't even use the Magcharger anymore

The LED lights up images from far away. The strobe function is nice when you are directing traffic or checking on a vehicle on the side of the road. I like it because I can mount the charger in my car. It is great for blinding people, especially in the strobe function.

A little high on price, but worth EVERY penny. I work nights and this is one of the most important tools I carry. This light is extremely bright, good durability, decent battery life and compact\light. Couldn't recommend this product more.

This light is so bright that I can brighten my backyard in the middle of the night. It is so bright I could see pollen floating around outside!

A solid flashlight. I dropped mine from the third floor on to a concrete parking lot with very slight damage to the flashlight itself. I love the strobe for tac entry and traffic direction. The most dependable light that I have owned and/or worked with. I highly recommend it as your primary patrol flashlight.

I purchased this light to go on my belt when I was in the academy. There were several other flashlights that were purchased by others including the light for life. Everyone seemed to like the LED Stinger the best.
It was brighter, easier to use, easier to carry, and could be used as an impact weapon if needed. Overall the best light we could find.
This is my main light. I have a pocket LED, a Poly Stinger, and a 3D cell LED Maglight.
