Absolutely the best knife I have ever owned, or used! Extremely sharp right out of the box, and can literally cut through almost anything. Extremely fast opening right out of the pocket or with one hand. I will never buy another knife.

As long as Ernest Emerson keeps making them I will not see duty with out my commander or P sark these are high end knives and are well worth the cost

Ernie and his crew are the best. As long as he makes them, they will always be part of my equipment list. I keep a dozen of them at any given time.

Without a doubt one of the best knives I have ever owned. Fast opening, sharp as hell, easy to maintain- it all adds up to a piece of gear that I am happy to have with me everywhere I go.

It doesn't get any better than this! Emerson is awesome. I got my commander as a B-Day gift from my Fiance, a friend of mine that used to train the Navy Seals know Emerson personally and it's the best blade I've ever had. I rarely use the others I own.

I love mine, cuts great and is pretty durable. I made this mistake of letting a buddy of mine use it and he wound up slicing through the package he was cutting into and sliced a knuckle open. Even he thinks its still a great knife.

Emerson makes a great product. I have this knife and the Carambit. These are quality knives that hold an edge better than othe knives I have had (Spyderco, Benchmade, CRKT) I would give it 6 stars if I could. The wave opening feature makes it tactically, the best knife out there!

Emerson has always made great knifes, but the Commander out performs them all. For years I used Emersons Specwar Knife and when on a deployment saw his commander. WOW!! I have own 7 of Emerson knivies. I only own Emerson now. The Specwar proved it's self when cut a lady out of her car with it. I cut the dashboard away and it did not hurt my knife at all. The Commander has been on my side on very deployment to the Middle East and Security job as well as my very day carry knife. Ernie, Great work brother!!

The Emerson Commander is a great secondary weapon for the street officer. Especially the "wave" feature that comes with the knife. It comes out in the fighting postion from your pocket ready to engage that target. Can be deployed quicker than an automatic (switchblade) knife.

Without a doubt the BEST knife I've ever owned. Mr. Emerson has a great company and personally caters to law enforcement/military. I once lost an Emerson knife on a call while cutting the seatbelt on an upside-down vehicle in a ditch during a bad thunderstorm to remove the occupant. My son had given me the knife for Father's Day and I was terribly upset that it was lost. I contacted the company directly and inquired about purchasing one at dealer price or a discount because I couldn't afford to pay full retail to replace it. Mr. Emerson personally returned my call, got my address, thanked me for my service, and sent me a replacement FREE OF CHARGE! Awesome customer service. I'll never buy a knife from any other company. I still carry it every day, on duty or off. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
