EXCELLENT decision to upgrade from the standard bulb! If you've got a standard old Mag, consider purchasing the LED bulb...WOW, what a difference. Seems to help a bit with battery life too, but with the white light and the focusable beam, I ain't complaining.

I bought a new 3-cell light for myself and my Dad liked it so good, that he was going to buy one and kind of "retire" his old 3-cell Mag to the garage. I already knew about this upgrade, so I surprised him with one. He couldn't believe it was the same flashlight. He liked it so good that he bought a second one for the ancient Mag-Lite that he had inherited from my Grandfather, and again he couldn't believe the improvement. Oh, by the way, I spoke with Mag-Lite about a replacement button cover for my Grandfather's old light and they sent me one... no charge! Now that is cuctomer service.

The 3D Maglite is our department's standard issue flashlight. I do mostly traffic patrolling and the 3D Maglite gets a lot of use. The whiter light and extended battery life make this upgrade a must.

It saves on battery life and is brighter than other lights

I loved it. But broke the lense within days. It was a very old light thats seen a lot of abuse don't know if the upgrade was a factor or just coincidence

This is an awesome upgrade! Highly recommend it because its from Mag-Lite and it works great in their flashlight. Besides being extremely bright and outshining the halogen or xenon bulb, it more than doubles the battery life. It also does not affect how the reflector works. Just use the light like normal.
