The E-7 Patrol Unit is the first and only purpose built patrol vehicle. All other units are manufactured as fleet type vehicles that each individual agency must add the radios, light bars, electrical systems, etc. This unit was designed and built from the ground up with the police officer in mind and the unit completely outfitter and ready to go less the computer and decaling. It also comes with a very powerful and fast diesel engine, rear wheel drive and built into the body lights as well as push bars and reinforced fenders for the PIT maneuver. The unit also has ballistic front doors and dashboard, FLIR, License plate recognition technology, video and recording equipment forward and in the rear prisoner area. The prisoner area has 'suicide' doors to ease the loading of prisoners and is sealed off from the Officers area and can be completely hosed down with a floor drain.
