Had one wouldn't have another. Heavy trigger, impropely cut rear sight dovetail, off centered front sight dot, squared front strap made it feel like a brick. Kimber makes a better product in their Custom pistols for about the same price and they don't contract out for their frames like Springfield does (Brazil). It was reliable, accuracy was lacking (compared to the Kimber).

I bought this gun when I was in the academy and it shoots like a dream, the grouping was about 2.5 inches straight out of the box

While I prefer the Kimber Warrior, this would definitely be my second choice.
The .45 ACP is the best handgun round yet.- Flag as inappropriate

A couple of thousand rounds with no jams, or misfires. I go to the range (private) every weekend and this is one of the weapons I take.

I purchased this gun used from an individual and love the look and feel. The only problem is the gun does not properly feed sometimes. I'm thinking this may be a mag problem though. You just can't go wrong with a Springfield.

EXCELLENT .45 AND EXTREMELY ACCURATE IF YOU REPLACE THE FACTORY BARREL WITH AN ED BROWN.

Bought one of the first Loaded packages Sprinfield ever made. Best gun I have ever owned or shot by far.

Decent 1911A1 for the money. Has quite a few extras that make it nicer than the Mil-Sec and GI's. Springfield Armory has the best Customer Service in the business. I'd recommend it so much I bought two ($766 delivered).

What a FANTASTIC 1911!
I purchased a SA 1911-A1 Loaded from a local individual who only had 32 rounds down the pipe... The handgun was immaculate and didn't have a blemish anywhere. After a field strip, clean and lube and adding a Hogue grip, I hit the range. Wow! I was very surprised by the accuracy of this particular 1911. (I would swear that it came from SA's custom shop) I cannot speak to the accuracy of all SA Loaded 1911's, but this one was amazing! My best silhouette had 14 rounds in two 1.5" holes at 25-yards. I own a couple of high-end 1911's that aren't nearly as accurate as my new SA Loaded 1911-A1.

Call me a happy camper.
