| Description: | The SOH High Ballistic Helmet is the next generation in high-performance helmets. The SOH has incorporated the best features of the MICH helmet, while further maximizing comfort and ballistic protection. Description: Utilizing the latest technology in ballistic materials, the SOH High Ballistic Helmet was designed to exceed the expectations of the MICH helmet by providing maximum Level 3A protection (44 Mag. 240 gr. at 1400 FPS) and optimizing comfort and function for long periods of operation. The SOH-2006 provides the following advantages: Features: - Superior ballistic, fragmentation, and impact protection, with reduced head borne weight - Improved compatibility with night vision, communication, Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical equipment. - Performs in all environmental conditions from -40F to -160F - Reduce profile optimizes peripheral vision and sensory awareness, not leaving the operator disadvantaged in hostile environments. - Improved interface with body armor, allowing the user to have a full range of motion, even in the prone position. - A 4 point, fully adjustable strap-harness suspension system maximizes stability and comfort. - The Pad Suspension system includes 7 highly engineered removable pads, which dramatically increase the operators comfort level. Pad Suspension System: - 7 highly engineered pads (1 crown and six oval and trapezoid pads) - Pad are removable ( hand washable-mild detergent) - Pads mold and conform to the shape of the operator’s head - Pads can be moved around to accommodate gas masks, communication equipment etc.. - Minimizes shock loads from ballistic, fragmentation, and blunt trauma, thus dramatically reducing risk of non-ballistic injury. - Pads provide increased air circulation in the helmet, keeping the operator cooler, and less likely to experience heat trauma. - Provides a quieter environment for the operator - Minimizes pressure points |

Much more comfortable that the old military helmet systems. Able to mount night vision devices directly to the unit with just a few adapters.

After fighting with the straps for about a week you can get this helmet to fit very comfortably. Looks good not as bulky as the older model.

Love it. It is much better than the old K-pot that I wore in the desert. Better padding and suspension system. I wish we would have had these years ago. It doesn't ride down on your forehead when you are shooting in a prone position.

Can modify the inner padding to conform to changing gear. More stable than my last helmet, at least this one stays in place.

This thing is awesome. Besides being kevlar and light, my helmet took a direct hit with a pick axe and all i got was a headache. helmet completely intact.

Awesome, much better improvement over the military's older kevlar helmets. I've seen 7.63 go right through those old ones, and this one can withstand a direct hit from 7.62. somewhere out there, there is an MP from 16th MP Bde that has the scar to prove it! Great helmet, and a lot more comfortable!!

This helmet is comfortable and fairly lightweight for its make-up. It stays secure without excessive moving.

My new hard hat and I like it. I am amazed how light they have become, and I am happy to see the suspension system has evolved to something useful. There's even room inside to put a soft cold pack for working on the hot days. I like the mobility with this design now that our armor is getting all the add ons.

I love the mich compared to the old kevlar. Much more comfortable and no more headaches from the old style suspension system. The only thing about the pads i dont like is they are foam in a plastic bag covered by fabric. Plastic cuases you to sweat. HAve to arry your pads so some air flow can get in. Some line them all up without allowing room to vent. Overall a great improvment.

Great for protection and lighter than the old k-pot, BUT, the pads can rub your head bald. I lost hair in three spots where the pads rubbed, and now I shave my head. LOL

Helmets, regardless of make or model, are inherently uncomfortable to some degree or other. But this type is leaps and bounds more comfortable and easier to wear than the previously issued PASGT kevlar helmet (i.e. K-Pot).

So much more comfortable than the old brain bucket. Stays on my brain housing group (head) better when I've got NVGs on.

Extremely comfortable. If you don't like the chinstrap, they sale pads you can throw in the old kevlar or John Wayne it. The MICH is the most prefered though

Best thing they could have done weight elimination with better ballistic protection and can wear all day long without getting a headache. Strap system leaves something to be desired for kinks and binds up to easy but way better improvement over the old brain bucket. I do not like the pads for only reason that they do not have a long lifespan and have to be replaced after constant use on regular basis. The modularity of the helmet is awesome and gives you many options that you did not have with older helmets. They could improve this product but as it stands it is way better than anything else on the market right now.
