I work in south florida and we have canals and water everywhere. Several people I know have ended up in the water one way or another. The tool stays on my key chain in the egnition for when I need it.

I love this tool. It is a one handed operation keeping you gun hand free if you are attempting an extraction. Reliable if you are doing extrication. It is small enough without any keys on it to carry in you uniform pocket.

A couple of years back I took a cellular 911 of a veh fully submerged in a nearby channel.... 16 yr old, had her license less than a month and took a corner too fast on a rain-slicked road. Despite all efforts to extract her, sadly she didn't make it. I now always keep one of these on my keychain.

We have one attached to the spot light handle in all our patrol cars and each officer carries his or her own as well. Excellent tool and very inexpensive. A must have in all gear bags.

I carry one of these on my key chain. At first I thought it might come in handy and then the day came when I had to use it. A Deputy responded to an over-turned vehicle and was attempting to break the passenger side window with his ASP. No luck. I pressed the RESQME against the window right above the locking mechanism and the window fell apart. The razor blade will also go through a seat belt easily and quickly. It also works on Flex-Cuffs. Over all it is a great tool and very inexpensive. Easy to carry, light, simple and available at many equipment stores.

Awesome tool. Used mine several times. Teh only problem is after several uses, the plastic clip gets weak. Lost one that way. But for the price, cant beat it.
