THIS WEAPON LOOKS LIKE AN M1 CARBINE BUT WITH A SYNTHETHIC STOCK. IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE A CARBINE TYPE RIFLE IN YOUR CRUISER BECAUSE IT REALLY ADDS RANGE FROM YOUR SIDEARM. I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE JUST FOR THAT PURPOSE BUT AFTER A COUPLE HUNDRED ROUNDS, I THINK I'LL LEAVE IT AT THE HOUSE OR TRY AND SELL IT. IT'S REALLY A PIECE OF JUNK. I GAVE IT 1 STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO. THIS RIFLE JAMMED MORE THAN IT SHOT. I CLEANED IT AND CLEANED IT AGAIN, BUT THE RESULTS WERE THE SAME. I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN RUGER THIS TIME. I CAN SEE WHY THEY DISCONTINUED IT. RUGER PRODUCES SOME FINE FIREARMS, BUT MISSED THE BOAT THIS TIME. IT JAMMED WITH ALL TYPES OF AMMO EVEN BALL. I SHOT CORBON, REMINGTON, WINCHESTER, BLACK HILLS, MAGTECH, AND FEDERAL. HOLLOWPOINTS AND BALL. I'M GLAD I TRIED IT AT THE RANGE INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT IN MY CRUISER AND STAKING MY LIFE ON IT.

Would be excellent in rifle chambering instead of .40 cal as we carry. Basically a long pistol with the .40 -- good shots with pistol can hit the same target with this carbine's effective range.

I have owned the PC4 for about three years. During this time I have fired about 500 rounds through it. I haven't had one malfunction. Even when its getting dirty it hasnt jammed. Ive shot several types of hollow point and even flat-nosed TMJ without problems. The gun is very overbuilt and durable. Accuracy is also excellent. Consistently hitting about 1" at 75 yds. Makes an excellent truck gun or plinker. I've seen the PC9 in action with similar results.
