Good general book to read. I had my wife read the chapter about strangers approaching and their motives. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a good training tool.

borrowed this book from a friend, and talked the department in to purchasing one for our library. excellent reading.,

Very good book book....... Must read

decent book, but not directly related to law enforcement. may persuade some LEO's to make fatal mistake of not seeing a potentally dangerous subject as being so. TAKE NOONE FOR GRANTED!!

I have used what I learned in this book several times in the field. Gavin is one of those people that immediately leave you thinking "This guy actually knows what he's talking about!" (poi - I couldn't care less what Oprah thinks)

We all have it and must learn how to use it.

An outstanding read, should be required for new officers. DeBecker knows his stuff!

Same with On Killing by Grossman, should be required reading for LEO's and military!!

Great book. Everyone, police officers and women especially, should read this book. Fascinating exploration of the bodies fear mechanism and survival.

The gift of fear is that bit of intuition that makes us turn our head and say "what's different" or what's wrong about this situation....something is just not quite right

MUST READ. I gave each of my squad a copy for X-Mas. I can honestly say it has made me more aware of the reason I should listen to my "gut feeling" than ever before. Two of my officers have already read it and it is a topic of discussion in roll call........ Should be on your shelf, if not, get it you will not be disappointed!

Excellent book with easy read, ready to practice skills daily. I highly recommend this book and is referenced in a lot of what I teach.

This should be required reading for everyone in law enforcement, they should make cadets read it during the academy.

An honest, informative book; I'd call it a must read for women.

Becouse it shows you what to do if you are being stalked, how to uncover the source of anoymons threats or phone calls.

A beneficial tool for anyone who has been a victim of violence, for those working toward preventing it, and therapists working to cure the effects of violence. For everyone else it would benefit to read this book in preparation so that you never end up at the wrong end of violence.

It's a good read. I had to read it for psych in college. It teaches you to listen to that little voice in your head.
