Yes, They now have the LED Maglite, but to all of us that have been on the job for some time, how many times has that orignal 3 cell Mag save you? perfect to place between your seat and door. and have at anytime.

I carry this flashlight as a back up, and have used it since 1977. Great light. Also have one on my pov.

I used this when I was on the rescue truck and keep one in my POV where I can get to it if I need it. It's great all around tool.

I have carried this light for several years now. Two 20 + feet drops and knee later it still works wonders. I will always recommend this light.

Say what you will about how stupid it is not to have some souped-up $200 flashlight on patrol, this light is bright, durable, economical, and SUBSTANTIAL. I believe there have been times that I have preempted escalation of a situation simply because I had a big, heavy, metal object in my hand. My department rotates through ten beats. I carry this light on foot patrols which put me outside most of the night

Went from a 5 cell to one of these. Its durable, bright, and affordable. I like how rugged Maglite products are. Dropped mine down a short flight of concrete stairs. Got a few scratches on it, and the batteries had to be replaced, but the lens and bulbs weren't affected. Good item for the price.

Good light for your POV. Heavy and bulky in today's design of flashlights.

My grandpa had this flash light, and although a bit bigger and heavier than most, it is very rugged and reliable. It can last for a long time and take a heck of a beating.

Not the brightest in the world but it does the job and is a good weapon if need be.

My first duty light, bought way back when working with EMS. Now I use a much smaller LED-flashlight, but still usable, mostly if you have to have something in your hand ;-)
